Okay, so, there's the Julia Roberts, the Mel Gibsons, the Tom Cruises and the Sandra Bullocks that EVERYONE knows about. But what about the unknown actors and actresses? Maybe they play in a show that's only shown in your home country, and not in the bigger markets like the US? Maybe they're just debuting their career. But that may not mean that they're not just as good as the actors and actresses I mentioned above.
So, this thread is for you to share your favourite "unknown" stars with the forum members.
My person is:
ALISEN DOWN
You guys may know her as "Alisen the Alien" or "Yet another celebrity Steph is obsessed over." Well, for 2 seasons she starred in "Mysterious Ways", alongside Rae Dawn Chong and Adrian Pasdar. (Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chick's husband) She portrayed a shy, dead-pan physics student named Miranda Finkelstein. <-- :funny: I personally loved this show (unfortunately it got cancelled) and despite Miranda's montonous nature, she still managed to crack me up every episode.
The 26 year-old resides in Vancouver where she lives with her cats- every one of which she's rescued. (A huge animal lover!) She also is learning how to play the violin.
And that, in a nutshell, is one of my favourite actresses, Alisen Down! :D Here's her picture, and now it's your turn! :D

That's Annabeth Gish :) (she was playing in the last two seasons of the X-Files). I guess she's also quite unknown. Think she's very sweet :)

Kate Beckinsale, who played Lt. Evelyn Johnson in Pearl Harbor (the main girl). She was also in Serendipity, but I haven't seen that one yet.

well... she's NOT that unknown, but I picked up her cause here is Italy she's not so famous. I bet in America she is, but anyways not as much as Sharon Stone!! oh well..

Serendipity is one of my favourite films and I'd definitely recommend it Laura :)
As for my favourite unknown actress, well it just gives me an excuse to post a Holly Valance pic :D

Kate Beckinsale is gorgeous and a great actress too, I'm looking forward to seeing her in more movies in the future. And I like John Cusack's sense of humour, thats part of the reason why his movies are usually so entertaining :) They both have really good on screen chemistry in that movie which I think is one of the things that makes it so good :)

I really like Kate Beckinsale too, she such a sweet and pretty actress! :) I haven't seen other movies than Pearl Habour with her and didn't know her before..!

for the men me, I don't think you could get more unkown unless you actually lived in a cave. I shouldn't say that there is a guy in a cave who is more famous than me.
I totally forgot about her: Sherry Stringfield. She played in "Emergency Room".
She's also one of my favorite unknown actresses :) (though I'm not sure if she's really that unknown ;) )
