TOTP2 on VH1 Saturday 6/29! [Archive]

Looks like the amazing Top of the Pops 2 Shania special will be airing on VH1 this weekend! The front page of Shania.net lists it as airing at 7:30 AM on Saturday, June 29th, but VH1.com has the air time at 7:00 AM, followed by a Country Pop up Video show at 7:30.

So wake up early or set your VCRs for 7:00 AM Saturday morning, this is a can't-miss Shania show!

Note - Shania.net identifies the show as the Top of the Pops 2 show, but VH1 just says it's a Shania UK concert from the BBC. This IS the Top of the Pops show, right??

When CMT aired it here, they called it Shania UK so it is probably TOTP2. Great show, btw.

Yeah, I think it's VH1 american. Shania.net didn't say anything but VH1, and I'd guess the default show schedule at VH1.com is for america.

Shania is awesome in the TOTP2 concert. I just wish that they would release the full TOTP2 concert on DVD so that we can enjoy the great sounds and crispy clear video of Shania. I love the outfits that she wears in this concert. She looks awesome!!!:) :) :)

We did approach BBC to ask if it could be released in VHS or DVD, but they didn't show any enthusiasm to do so.

Maybe Members of this Board and STNAOFC Board could approach the BBC themselves and if enough requests hit it might be done.

I'll check with Mercury Nashville to see if it would cause a problem.

Don't forget to give me a wave when you watch.:D

I think that their enthusiasm would come when they saw the $$dollar$$ signs after selling many DVD's of this very popular Shania concert. This is the most favorite concert by many Shania Twain fans. They would be able to not only have the complete Shania TOTP2 concert, but could also have room on a DVD for the extras such as TV appearances and CMA awards. Is there an email address to reach BBC to request this concert on DVD???:) :) :)

:cry: :cry: :cry: Maybe CMT doesn't like making money, or maybe because it had something to do with shania not taking to it. I really don't think it was long enough. If they sold the video without ads, it might be like 20 minutes. In canada they filled in the last 15 minutes with videos, I would buy it even so. it looked like she had a good time. I think that came out pretty good in the preformance. After doing the tour thing day after day it gets kinda hard to enjoy the "job". thats why I want that video. It's inspires me, Oh yea the music was groovy too:p :p :p

Now, Howcome you say the TOTP2 Special was 20 mins? I have it on tape (without any commercials), and it's 44 mins long.

Maybe they cut some things out for the canada day marathon. They do that to sitcoms all the time. I hate that , especially when it's something good or an important part of the story. Can I ask where you got it?

Not only that I only have one VCR (and thus cannot copy tapes), but we also use the European format (PAL), and you need a tape in the American format (NTSC or however it's called :p).

I loved that TOTP2 concert, its a pity i didnt know she was doing it or i woulda got tickets. I love her silver dress and long coat that she wears. When she sung From This Moment was she live or miming? i thought she was miming.
