Well, I just thought. You know when we mention her, we just say Shania? Well does anyone else do that? I wonder why we do that! We just forget about her last name! Especially on here.

Because there is only one. Because it is obvious that we are refering to her, especially in here. If all of a sudden another Shania popped up, Shania Smith, another country star. Then of course, we'd see the whole name Shania Twain more than before.

Yeah I call her just Shania, I surpose its got alot to do with the fact I feel so at home with her and its a lovey word. Not to saw Twain isn't a nice word. But I feel I know Shania in a way so I call her Shania. But I don't like "outsiders" calling her just Shania.

Ya, I just call her Shania now. When I'm talking to people who don't really know much about her, or don't know I love her unconditionally, I say Shania Twain. Her name is unique enough within her trade that it cant' be mistaken for another. Even if another singer would call herself Shania.
It wouldn't fit.

I agree with you all. If I met her I would not say, " Hi Shania Twain!" lol. That would be kind of dumb, lol. If someone met me they don't go, " Hey Andrew followed by my last name, lol. It's just weird though.

I say "Shania" more than "Shania Twain". Because, like all of y'all, I'm just so comfortable with her and feel like I know her enough to just call her Shania. Like she's my friend or something, I don't go up to my friends and call them by their full names. That would be kinda dorky, don't ya think? They will probably stop being my friends if I did that. LOL

Hey...I was just wondering, can anyone imagine calling Shania...oh excuse me... Shania Twain by her real name? Call me crazy, but I do sometimes. Because her family still calls her Eilleen. I often use her REAL name as my passwords for my computer! Anyway, CAN anyone imagine, what if she had not have changed it to "Shania"?

When I talk about her i just say 'Shania'. I mean I don't need to say 'Twain' cos everyone knows who I'm talking about cos they hear me say her name every day. Sometimes I say Shania Twain but not very often.

Incredibly, I find that even the name 'Shania' is amazing. Somehow it sounds so unusual to say, and if you start talking in a crowded room, just the name 'Shania' makes everyone stop and listen!

(This happens to me a lot at school (often with embarrasing or amusing results), do you find this?)

I only call her by her first name Shania , because I am a big fan of hers . I think her name will always be known and she will always be famous for her being beautiful and she will forever be known as a great Female artist in the Country music business . Well, because we're at a Shania Twain message board, we don't always have to say her last name. There's a sense of familiarity with Shania since we're at a message board about her. When I'm at the LeAnn Rimes' message board, I always just write her first name. Same with other singers' message boards I go to.
