How is CMT's Shania coverage?

Well, it seems like our local cable system is finally adding CMT to their channel list in July. I've never tuned into CMT before, so I have no idea what to expect. Does Shania get decent coverage on CMT? Are there any exclusive Shania specials shown on CMT that I won't find on, say, VH1?

Just curious. And this is for the U.S., btw.

CMT does a variety of different specials compared to places like VH1 or MTV. Shania has had decent coverage in the past, but it seems to have decreased since she has been on her break. Some of the specials the have are Video Bio where the artist talks about their videos while they are playing. Shania did the first ever Video Bio and it is the only time you will be able to see the video for When in the US. I like CMT alot. They play at least one or two of her videos a day. Actually, CMT plays Shania's videos more than one would expect and even more so now. For several months, I was emailing Tara McNamara of Big Ticket every other day and sometimes she would email me back. They know me as ZZZZZ. They all know I that I'm a really big fan of Shania, so they play her a good bit for me. Why? cause I asked them to all the time. Play me some Shania.

I think CMT has great coverage of Shania. I'm sure she's the most popular video artist they have! :up:

I remember the day I got CMT. . . . . now I can't live without it! :p

They do play the same popular songs over & over, but all music channels and radio stations do that.

I've already caught 2 Shania videos in 2 days of very casual viewing, so it looks like I'm going to love CMT. Especially when Shania's NEW videos debut later this year! *crosses fingers*

how can you not love cmt. They have more videos in between ads, But especially no dj's that think that their reason people watch. Oh, and they show shania videos. How come Mtv shows her videos and Much Music doesn't? I think thats wacky.

CMT is a GREAT channel. Decent Shania coverage, especially since she has been gone for awhile. The only show I don't like is MwL because I hate the hosts but the video schedule is very good. Very good mixture. It can go from Alan Jackson to SHeDAISY to Willie Nelson to Shania right in a row and they all have different music styles so congradulations on getting CMT!

CMT is better than nothing, but over the last year or so I think most of the non-music stuff has become unbearably juvenile. I wish they'd just play the videos, show the music specials and cut out all the in-between commentary that seems targeted for 12-year-old kids.

Not like much music were its wait for the commercials then listen to the dj say their thing. then its two videos and starts all over.
