Well???? I don't know, does it snow up in Canada like that in the Fall? Why not try to go a little earlier, like in the Fall. There have been reports that Shania is supposed to visit the Centre in the Fall. You wouldn't want to miss that, now, would ya?? :D
Shanianuts! Who is that man that you told me to ask about the GARTER? His name is Will or something and has something to do with the center, if I understood right. Maybe he can supply you with more information, wheel2002.
There is a thread recently about the Centre where Shanianuts! and I discuss this man, Will. The thread is on the forums.
Go to the Members list and look for Will and then you can email him. I think that was his name...
Shanianuts! ???

I have never been to Canada, so I really don't know what to tell you about that. I'm sure there are people that can help you. Hopefully they will have the sidewalks and roads shoveled then. You might want to plan it for another time. Winter can get pretty bad in the North.

I can't help you with hostiles in timmins sorry, I come from cowboy country of the west hometeaders'n all. Most towns have bylaws that will fine people who don't shovel their walks. Streets are a little diffrent though unless you can find a place in the centre of town. If their not cleaned by the city, traffic will take care of that. the fall will be you best bet. this is Canada though so expect some snow. The centre I can't see being a problem after all it is the towns major attraction, So to stay clear from law suites it should be fine. Most likely though in the fall the snow will go by afternoon, but you never know. Just one more thing keep your head and feet warm as well as the torso. I don't know where in Australia you live. the temp may take some getting used to. if you get stuck I can't see anybody not helping. cover your ears too since their is no blood in the ears. I hope I'm not freaking out if I made it sound bad. but for a place try the timmins web site you should get some info on the tourist board of the region. I think that may be your best way of finding a place to lay down for your stay,or any other things you need to know.
I've never been there either. I'm from Louisiana, so??? Ya might try a travel guide??? Would that help ya???
Hey, any Canadians here that have been to Timmins?
I have heard that there of fans from the North American site that are planning to go to Timmins and I think they have been there before... So, maybe they can tell you more about what's in Timmins? I can give ya the url and you can post a message there also if you like.

your best bet is a timmins ont. site. they should have the info you want' and probably know the best time to visit, and if she is coming there sould be a regional tourist depot, on the provincial web site
I checked my Michelin's Green Guide to Canada for you, but unfortunately, they don't give Timmins the respect it deserves :)
They do have a large section about Windsor though :D

Okay, so, I'm back.
Shania's said herself how long the winters are in Timmins- basically from October to April or May. I was there in August and it was barely 15º. December/January is summer for you in Australia, right? Might I suggest going a few months earlier- spring for you and fall for us.
Although there are laws the require the sidewalks to be plowed, you can not guarantee that it won't be snowing when you go there. Timmins can get wickedly cold in the winter, with TONS of snow. I would highly recommend trying to visit the Centre either earlier in 2002, or later in 2003 to try to avoid all the snow. :)
