Shania's Gap

We've all seen the pictures of Shania when she was young with the gap between her two front teeth.

Does anybody know when she had her teeth fixed? I think somebody told me that a family member was a dentist. :confused:

Anybody have more details? :uhh:

BTW, my friend had her gap fixed . . . and I learned how they do that kind of procedure. Instead of pushing the teeth together they just fill in the gap with material that looks like "teeth". They let it dry and then cut it down the middle, which in the end looks like two larger teeth.
That explains why Shania's two front teeth are slightly larger compared to her other teeth. :p

BTW - your thread got me wondering about what Shania's lower set of teeth look like - I went thru all the mag covers Raul posted and in every closeup of her mouth smiling you can only see her top teeth!!

Probably in Eggars' bio is chapter and verse on Shania's dental adventures - I seem to recall she had the work done before going to Nashville the second time. (so probably in '91 - early '92 period I would suspect.)

The teeth were blurry in the original picture too.

It would have to be one honking big gap before a person could notice teeth to be larger than normal anyway I think :rolleyes:

She has a top-only smile. People have different smile styles. Folks show more of top, more of bottom, lots of both or little of either. It's just a personal habit thing... :supwink:

I heard she got the teeth fixed when she was at the Deerhorst Resort. The manager payed for it. I don't know how bad her teethe were then and what was wrong with them but he payed to got the fixed.

i think she got them fix when she was 16 i think not sure i just went through the bihde the music and drieven vr tapes i have and it shows that she still has that gap when she was 14 so my guess would be 16 cause she had it fix by the time she was amember of long shot and i think she was 17 when she joined them :)

I honestly didn't notice her large front teeth until after my friend had her gap fixed. Besides, I always wondered when Shania got them fixed. The only pictures I've seen with her gap was when she was very young. . so I thought she had them fixed at a very young age. . :uhh:

I know this is a very minute subject. . but it's not as bad as some topics on this forum. :p
