Nothing wrong with getting into something with passion.

I have a girlfriend, and I am much into Shania, she is a great positive influence in my life.

I wish everybody in this world had such a passionate influence, I'm sure the world would be that much of a better place.

Group hug!!!!

I do have alot about Shania, and I am single.
Why cant people just let it be that way?

OK, I feel this has to be said now. Although I'm single at the moment, last week I wasn't, and my liking of Shania had nothing to do with my break up. In fact, I think that anyone who stops doing something that was important to them while they were single, just to try and impress the boy/girlfriend, is really shallow. And, Stallion, if you have nothing better to do than slag us all off for liking Shania, then go to a different forum. I consider my liking of Shania to be a crucial part of my personality, and whilst I don't expect any girlfriend of mine to necessarily like her, acceptance of my "obsession" with her is crucial.

Wild One,
sounds like a lucky lady, that girlfriend of yours.

Well. She deserves the best. She had a hellacious childhood. She was sexually abused by both her mom and dad. Ain't that sickening?! And she didn't deserve that. Nobody deserves to go thru what she went thru. So I'm trying to give her what she didn't get when she was a kid like new shoes, new clothes, and especially the love she didn't receive from her parents. http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

Wish I had a girlfriend. All the women I've ever dated seem to have lost interest a month or so down the line. They either think I'm too clingy, or doesn't care enough. It seems that if you never call them, they dump you for not caring, or if you call the, they dump you for caring too much. It seems I can't do anything right.

Winemaker

Mark Mark Mark,

Women....

....who the heck understands them? Us guys? I pretend I do. I don't think they understand each other, and some don't even undertsand themselves. So how can we be expected to understand them.

I think you're doing great. You did say "all the women I've dated..." Sounds like you're doing great. But if longer relationships is what you're looking for...

Realize, that it is common for interest to dwindle after a while, even for as short a time as a month. I've been bored with attempts at relationships after as short a while as a week.

My suggestion would be, don't try so hard. Enjoy the people you are meeting, enjoy the time you have with them. It's just a matter of time before you connect with the one for you (one of the ones for you).

I bet you, once you connect, they'll be more that will be interested. Life's like that sometimes. They come in flocks. When it rains it pours.

Just remember one thing, keep trying of course, but don't try so hard. And always be yourself.
(OK!, so that's two things to remember)

Good advice Winemaker. Mark listen to Wine. I have only one thing to add and that is to be honest and open. Well maybe thats two things, but worry not, the right girl will come along. Good luck buddy

Wine:

Whats not to understand? We are so uncomplicated. LOL http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

Mark:

As Shania says in If You Wanna Touch Her Ask, find a girl who you can be friends with first then look at dating. The problem with alot of relationships is that we forget to be friends. The physical attraction and original passion wear off, and if there is no friendship there to lean on the relationship won't last. Give it time, your soulmate will come along. http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

Wine, that “understand” paragraph seems soooooo familiar.... http://www.shaniaforums.com/wink.gif Good to know it has the same confusing effect.

Wild One, Wine told me that he actually used to hold 25 of 23 track records, but he got so bored with it that he decided to retire. He asked me not to tell this to anyone, he's so modest! So please don't tell this to anyone. http://www.shaniaforums.com/wink.gif

Thanks for the advice. It cheers me up slightly to know that people out there do care. Although the being friends thing will work in the long-run, at my age (17) it's really difficult, because women at my age either don't want committed relationships, or if I do try the friends thing, then they don't want to risk dating because it might ruin the friendship. Which is incredibly frustrating, because it leaves me absolutely nowhere.
