We have all been touched by Shania's music in so many ways. I often refer to COO as the soundtrack of my life. Many of the songs on that album remind me of an incident or a time in my life. But, I have to say that the song that I relate to the most is "The Woman In Me". To me, it paints a true and honest picture of what it feels like to be a woman. I absolutely love it! So my question to all my fellow Twaniacs is, which of Shania's songs do you relate to and why http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

I love that song too Heather. Shania's most impactful song for me is I'm Holding On To Love, To Save My Life. This song held me together through some very difficult days. I also love From This Moment On very much it is her best song, to me anyways.

Maybe you've heard the story, maybe not. But Come On Over has had a great impact on me. It reminds me of a great person in my life, who no matter what, has stayed beside me. She doesn't know what she's done for me. To read more, go to "Dedications of Shania songs", posted by me.

I Won't Leave you lonely, because that is what i'll sing to all my girlfriends. I want them to know that ill ALWAYS be there for them. And Black Eyes, Blue Tears because even though my life doesn't apply to that song, i know it does to so many people and I want them to listen to this song and for it to give them the strength to LEAVE!! By the way Heather, this is a great Topic!

There was something I read about for every situation and person in your life there is a song for you to ideifiy to. I belive this is very true.

You're Still The One has some meaning to to as people have tried thier best to make me stop liking Shania, but what ever they do it just makes me like her more.

When is my song for a old friend of mine, who i really liked. I would die to see her again because she helped me alot. (No I did not love her in the sexual sence.)

I have a few. Hope that's OK! http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

"The Woman In Me", because as a single mom I know what it's like to always have to be strong. I win when I choose to, but sometimes I wish I had someone to lean on, and believe in.

"Any Man of Mine", because it is also my 10 year olds favorite song, and it brings us closer when we share the music. Yet another beautiful gift Shania has given me.

"God Bless the Child", For 2 reasons. First, as a mom it makes me think of my kids. I love to listen to it when my kids are not with me, because it makes them seem closer. My favorite saying is that "all the beauty in the universe can be seen in the eyes of a child". Secondly I grew up in a very abusive home, so I recognize almost every aspect of my childhood in that song.

"Black Eyes Blue Tears", for the same reason as above.

"Come on Over", Because it reminds me of how great the simple things in life are. Like hangin out at a friends pad and just mellowing to some tunes and knowing that thier door is always open to you when you need a friend.

"You've Got A Way", because it reminds me of my oldest daughters father.

iloveshania, you read my mind http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif At first, I really didn't care for the song, but the more I listened to it, the more I fell in love with it http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif I love the opening verse, "I'm not always strong. And sometimes I'm even wrong. But, I win when I choose and I can't stand to lose. But, I can't always be, the rock that you see....", I identify so much with Shania's words. It's tough being a strong woman. But, it's always wonderful when you have someone to lean on http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif
