In the August 6th issue of Country Weekly..........................
and article entitled "Shania's Back (almost)
New music from multiplatnum, international superstar Shania Twain is mere months away. The groundbreaking Canadian's record label confirms that the relsase of the debut single from her upcoming CD is set for Sept. 23; the singles title hasnt been announced. The album is tentatively slated to hit stores in November. No tour plans in support of the CD have been revealed.

Well, that is the date that has been floating around on Country Radio as well. Hopefully Mercury will acknowledge it soon.

Mercury? .... acknowledge!? ... they don't explain why their parent posts on their Hungarian board her album is coming out on the 18h of November ... they leave Shania's fans "hanging out to dry" ...........and we have to rely on their acknowledging dates/plans?

I know, unfortunatly Shania fans are left to their mercy when it comes to official announcements since Shania does not have her own way to get information to the fans.

Well, if you guys don't believe that Mercury is just waiting for a better time to make the release official, then that must mean there is yet another delay coming. :rolleyes: :(

I believe the release date of the single in NA to radio is 9 23 and the album is out in NA on 11 12 and Europe 11 18 as too many sources are confirming that for it to be any other dates.
Why Mercury is stalling on announcing dates while Universal Hungary has gone and done it officially on their website is anybody's guess.

Mebbe their webmaster is out of the loop??

Do you realize just how many release dates have been set for this album?? only to have the date cancelled and the album delayed yet again. And why is this? Because there are just too many people in the way. You watch! I bet it will be delayed yet again.

I sincerely hope you are right that Shania has made a new album and it will be released by those dates, but if not, if for any unknown reason the album is delayed yet again, I hope nobody starts blaming Shania. I don't even like it when people blame Mercury or Nashville. I wouldn't see it as Mercury's, Nashville's, and certainly not Shania's fault. I believe with all my heart Shania sincerely wants to release a new album. But I hope the album is released by the dates that have been given.

There's not really going to be a new album, is there. All this just hype and stringing fans along. She doesn't have to sing anymore. She's got 64 million dollars. Shania Twain has retired. This is so sad! Well, I guess there is no more reason to come here then. :sad:

I have been here since January and have every reason to believe as I indicated in my post above.
ok, but I guess all of Shania's fans are gonna have to be more patient regardless of whether or not the Sept/Nov release dates are kept or not. She has Eja to think of now anyway. I have heard some fans say that they will wait for Shania for as long as it takes. So I guess the album will be released when it is released and not until. So whatever. :really:

I think the single will be released on Septmeber 23rd, since many sources have said this, but maybe the album's release dats isn't set yet and that is why Mercury hasn't confirmed? I doubt it, just trying to make a point for Mercury.:p

Hi everyone!:) It's been a long time since my last post.
I'm pretty confident that September 23 will be the release date of SHANIA's first single. I don't think CW would print something where they didn't have a reliable source.:)
