Fan Favorite Awards
-- Country Weekly apparently searched the calendar and found the one day out of the year when awards weren't being presented and latched onto it. The magazine has announced semi-finalists for it's "Fan Favorite Awards" nominations. The first semi-finalists round ballot appears in both the August 20th and September 3rd issues of Country Weekly.
Among the artists on the ballot: Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Faith Hill, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, Lee Ann Womack, Steve Azar, Kellie Coffey, Emerson Drive, Rebecca Lynn Howard and Trick Pony.
Winners will be announced in the January 7th issue of Country Weekly, unless the Dept. of Homeland Security can put a stop to it.
