Does anyone know where we can find a list of United Stations affiliates???
This company is owned by Dick Clark - I can't believe he does not have the sense to let fans know which of his stations will offer the program and where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very interesting - Mercury just posted notice of this show on their site with the url to the United site - which tells you nothing other than the show will air the week of the 26th of August - it is left up to the fan to figure out if there is a United Station affiliate in their listening area or on the Net - great way to get the word out to us - Mercury/United/Dick Clark - thanks for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!:really: :really:

Atleast we know WHEN it is. ;).
Say, is there any chance of someone recording the special, and maybe coverting it into mp3 format, then uploading it to the net, so all uf us Shania fans can enjoy it?

It could be possible for me to tape the special and send it out to anyone who needs it but I'm not bright enough to put it into mp3 format, lol!
Thakns Karen!
If you'd tape it on the comp, converting it into an mp3 file won't be a problem for me.

Here's the list of US Radio Stations scheduled to air United Stations' 2-hour Shania Twain special on our Labor Day (Bank) Holiday weekend (Aug. 31, Sept. 1 & 2). The file is in a pdf format, you can download Acrobat Reader to read it at: www.acrobat.com
Thank you United Stations!
:)
I have not had the time to find out if one among the many radio stations airing the Shania Special will be online as well...if you find any, let other Shania fans know. Especially from those overseas...;)
I've heard that in Vermont you can hear the Shania Labor Day Special on Labor Day from 3pm-5pm on Froggy 100.9 FM.

airing on Labor Day special radio program now
Shania Twain Radio Broadcast on Country Radio
Did anyone listen to the special Shania Twain Country Radio Broadcast today? I got the tip from **********@aol.com and he indicated in his attachment to his message all the radio stations that will broadcast that special Shania Twain show. The DJ played all the Shania records from the start that were best sellers and he also reminisced different "happenings" in Shania's life. Shania also spoke about each CD/song explaining how the song came about, the focus/message of the song, etc. It was very enjoyable to listen to. She recalled several incidents in her life as it relate to the song and some passages about her and Mutt. Really something worthwhile listening. My station was KSDK-FM in St. Louis and I just programmed by Bose radio on that channel all week-end long so I won't miss it. True enough the broadcast was this mid-morning. I hope a lot of you were able to listen to it. I can really tell that Shania is endeared by radio DJs.
I also watched the CMT's 40 Greatest Country Women and Shania came as No. 7. Quite an accomplishment for somebody who has only 2 CDs to speak of. (The first Patsy Cline was no. 1, Tammy Wynette was no. 2, Loretta I believe was no. 3 and Dolly Parton was no. 4. I would have appreciated more commendable comments from the other Country Women singers about Shania but then again...I guess I can tell how Nashville female traditional country singers felt left behind as far as success is concerned since Shania came along. Some of these ladies have hundreds of CDs to their name and yet they have never reached the height and success that Shania reached with just two successful CDs to her credit. I can tell the "jealousy" very apparent from these ladies. As Vince Gill said--Shania Twain was not treated fairly by Nashville because she is very beautiful and that is crazy (meaning the behavior of Nashville folks. I think that said a lot.
I am so glad that Shania does not let that bother her and that she just focuses on her fans more than ever.
I also heard from the radio today that "Up!" will have three versions--Country, International and I forgot what the other remix will be.

My fav. station played it from 6 AM to 10 AM this morning... considering I haven't gone to bed before midnite the last three nites and I was sick as a dog I only caught the last 1/2 hour... but one of my girls at the radio station left a note saying that I wanted the CD... I hope nobody else wants it lol! :)
