Vh1 has a show called Ultimate Albums...which of Shania's albums would you consider to be the ultimate and why

1.Shania Twain

2.The Woman In Me

3.Come On Over

These are the options so far since her new album isn't out yet.

I have to go now. I hope everyone has a good night or day.
bye

I could not choose one over the other - they are a progression of her talent and skill and songwriting aptitude - each is a masterpiece in its own right!

Well, I know it would definately come down to TWIM or COO, simply because Shania and Mutt wrote all the tracks on those albums. ST is a good album, but no where near the calibre and quality of her latest 2.

One of the criteria VH1 uses to select its Ultimate Albums are their impact on the music industry itself. Using that selection process, there's no doubt that Shania's The Woman in Me would be the best candidate for her. With that CD, Shania and Mutt had as big an influence on country music as anyone has.

I agree 100%, though I'd still pick COO myself :)

I have a feeling we have not seen her "ultimate album" yet. I would say it will be the new one:p :p My second choice would be TWIM. It is the one that created the first big "Shania headache" in Nashville. :D

It'd be hard to choose between COO and TWIM but I think the best is yet to come!! :) *hopefully in November, lol!*

Do you guys think she can improve on Come On Over? It's my favourite album of all time, I think it will be pretty hard to surpass. But, if anyone can do it its her! :)

I like that- "Shania headache". :funny: Those poor guys at Nashville didn't know what hit em when Shania stormed back with TWIM.

What these record company execs forget is that Shania is herself and that with the help of her mate she has made herself that much better - she knows who she is and where she is going and what her goals are - Amanda is a Barbie doll waiting to be molding - she is in essence a "false God" of music and never will come near Shania in talent and drive and ability and creative genius - she only knows she wants to be a star - she is something of a dim bulb.

Shania will rule the airwaves as long as she chooses to do so - her next work will be the progression of her past and the present and the future - her new work will be brilliant and wonderful and sell like hotcakes - I don't think I will say it is better than her first 3 works - I will say it is Shania back in the saddle and riding her way back into the hearts and souls and minds of the world once again and doing so as only she can.

Shania Twain (the 1st album) is pretty good, but I would have to go with either TWIM or COO. TWIM was the reason why I became a fan of Shania's in the first place. It really didn't sound like any other country album I had heard before. The lyrics and the way it was produced just got me hooked. The same way with COO. I just love it. So like most of you I can't really choose one.

To be honest...I am really not that big of a Country fan. There aren't a lot of Country artists that I listen too. I am more into R&B, some Hip-Hop, and some Pop music.
I do enjoy listening to Shania (of course), Vince Gill, Wynona(probably didn't spell it right :funny: and a few others.

Great opinions everyone:)

The Temptations
The Four Tops
Patti Labelle
Aretha Franklin
Luther Vandross
Mariah Carey
Selena
Enya
Boyz II Men
Sarah Brightman
Josh Groban

I think my choice would be 'Come On Over'. I love that album so much that I bought it twice :p and it was the first CD I ever bought from Shania. I never regret buying it :D

Well for me it's definately 'Come on over' which is far and away the best album recorded by anybody. 'The woman in me' is good too, but the first album was a bit of a disappointment really as the three tracks played on CMT Europe were the best three by some distance. On 'Come on over ' every song is great. It's not a criticism just an opinion.

I notice an Australian fan is also a fan of Martina McBride. Well you may be interested to know that some wretched 'soap star' (?) called Claire Sweeney has just recorded My baby loves me for the British market and judging by past events it is likely to sell. Mercifully I haven't heard it yet.

Looking forward to the new Dixie Chicks album on Aug 20th (or 27th as Country Music International printed two dates in the same article), and then hopefully not too long to the new Shania single and album. Whener it is released I will be 'up' for it. :) New football season starts Saturday (10/8). Come on you Cobblers (Northampton Town FC to you) .

I feel that Shania's new album will be best , because of the new music she will perform on it . I felt that Shania's " Come On Over " album was the best at that time .:) :)

Ben - you are most likely right and it's very sad. Although Shania is far and away my favourite singer I actually do think that Martina McBride is probably the most talented of all female singers and I love that song Terry Wogan (yes I listen to radio 2) is playing called 'Blessed'. Unfortunately it is only on the Greatest Hits album and it's pointless me buying that. Might have to though! I suppose Claire Sweeney might record it.

By the way did you like that song from Being April 'I wanna see the bright lights tonight' by some British girl who recorded in Nashville?:)

Shaniafannum1

Martina has the BEST voice in the industry but Shania beats her in the creativity and entertainment fields by far... Martina's Greatest Hits is GREAT... I'd definitely look into getting it if I were you :)
