I just wanted to see how many people use the first imprestion as the guide to a person's personality? Just wondering.

Well, I try not to rely on the first impression too much. It can be right, but also false :uhh:

I do SOMETIMES, but if i don't like it I give the person another chance to gimmy a better impression ;)

I think that the first impression can give you a completely wrong picture of a person. Maybe someone is shy and you think they don't have anything interesting to say. Or they are in a bad mood and you think they are always like that. If you're into one night stand I guess it's okay to judge people by their first impression cos you'll never see them again anyway. But to get to know people you have to give them a second change.

But first impressions sometimes are important. I know that you can get to know the person more later, but how you first view them may shape your opinion of them. Sometimes it's hard to shake off those first feelings about someone.
But I do agree- first impressions can be misleading.
