i have just started playing the guitar. with the help of an old six-string and a gitar book + cd. but the problem is that the book is a bit unclear some places, and i would like to get some more info. so does anyone know of an internet site with help and tips for beginners at guitar?

Its really fun playing the guitar :shocked: :D i gave up on instruments YEARS ago, at the same time i gave up playing the flute (i also played the clarinet but stopped pretty soon :p ).. it was soo boring, i didn't care for it, and i thought that i'd probably feel the same way bout all instruments. but now i try to play the guitar :shocked: :):D

if you are playing chords you can get collred dots and use them put them like on d chourd c cohord and so on :)

Hi,Thea. :) I have been playing my guitar for almost a year now,but I really don't know how to play though. :p lol I took guitar lab for a semester last fall,but my teacher didn't even teach us! :rolleyes: I am trying to teach myself,but not really getting anywhere. :p Sorry I can't help you! One of these days I am going to play "You're Still the One" on mine. :p

I would love to learn how to play the guitar. It looks so much more fun than the normal band instruments. :snore: :zzz: My friend's a pretty good guitar player. I'd love for him to teach me. :D So is my other friend. She's great.

Sorry I can´t help. Closest to a guitar I´ve been is seeing my cousin play it... okay, okay, I´ve tried a bit and I have no clue whatsoever...*sigh*

LOL Annette! :funny: i wouldn't do that... Besides, i already hit you plenty of times with my rucksack when we went to switzerland (sorry about that once again..im clumsy)

But i can only play the first seconds of AMOM anyway...I'm trying to learn NONTK now, but have one problem i cant really explain in english.. but i can try. In what way, in what beat, are you supposed to hit the strings in NONTK? because i have tried a couple of different ways, but it just doesnt sound right. i tried to watch a tape to see how Shania does it too, but its difficult to see when she hits the strings down and when she hits them up if you know what i mean..i REALLY couldnt explain it in english lol!!!!

Thanks for wishing me good luck, i'll need it :p

but what would that equal to in english? I'm so stupid with guitar terms, i know soo little about guitars........ could you try to explain if you have the time....hmm..better try and get someone to show me this on my guitar. *thinking*
