So, which pets do you preffer? Cats or dogs?

Personally, I'm much more of a cat person.
I know dog lovers say that dogs are much more friendly and loylal, but personally, I just find cats to be irresistably cute :D

Another thing I don't like about dogs is that they keep lickin' ya'. I konw they do it outta' love, but I just don't like to be loved that way ;)

The only kind of dogs that I truly find to be irresistable, are the Huskies. I just love them doggies! :D

I'm a cat fan myself. They are the worlds perfect weapon. Plus they are not loud. they don't slobber up the face. they don't do things on your leg. don't get me wrong dogs are cool two.

Cats don't slobber and don't need to be walked everyday and aren't so big and loud. They're just so perfect and small. :) But I bet dogs aren't as moody as cats. That's why a cat should be a girl's best friend. :funny: :p

I'm not really an animal person, we never had pets at home. but if I have to choose between cats and dogs it would be cats, dogs scare me a bit:nervous:

DOOOOOOOGS!!! :love: I love the way they express their love and happiness when they see you. Well, I wasn't allowed to have a dog, so I got a cat and of course I love cats, too...isn't it the sweetest thing when they sleep on your belly? :love:

My cat doesn't eat much...when I give him the food at night, he eats a bit and that's it! Sooo annoying! :rolleyes: But thanks for the tip, I didn't know that could be a reason.

I love how dogs CAN'T WAIT until you get back home, and love to sit and stare at you while you're on the toilet (Ok, maybe that was just my dog :uhh: )

I like cats too. . .but nothing brings me more joy than a dog.
I just LOVE them and I can't imagine living my life without one. :)

Since Shane and I both lost our dogs it was so great to visit my mother because she has a dog!:p

I'm a dog lover but I still prefer cats....I think :uhh: I couldn't really decide but I picked cats. I've got a cat called Sophie and I love her more than anything :D I think I'll get a pic of her tonight an dput it up here, she is really sooo unbelievable cute!

Me and my cat go to sleep at the same time and she sleeps on my bed with me. And I sometimes let her sleep under the covers with me if she wants to. God, shes soo spoilt, but I love her so much, I'd do anything for her :)

Some info from an expert (meh!)

Cats are in general cuter than dogs
Cats dont need as much attention as dogs
U dont have to walk with a cat 3 times (or more) a day
Cats clean themselves while u have to wash a dog (thats why dogs smell more often than cats... actually cats dont smell at all...)Cats dont need a lot of room like dogs do
Cats are in general calmer than dogs

Conclusion: Cats are for those who are not very active (lazy) and / or has small appartements (with no open grassfields / forrest nearby)

And dogs are for peeps who are very active/playfull and have a yard, lots of open grassy fields and forrests.

Anyway i like both of em :D

My dog sleeps under the covers. She lies down by my feet. Sometimes though I'll wake up and she's lying her head on my pillow. That freaks me out a bit though.:D What would people think?:p

Dogs 100% I have mine trained to do just about anything I want it to. She knows over 50 voice and hand commands.. Does not stink up the house (asks to go outside) cats don't, the smell ugh! Hops in my truck to go on trips. Try that with a cat! And I taught her not to like my face. Cats are natural born killers, birds, mice, ect, ect, mice carry many diseases, so where has your cat been lately? Also just a stat. Cats kill over 30.00000 birds a year. Birds eat seeds and poop them out with fertilizer intact, so the cats are killing plants and trees as well. Plus I like personality in a pet/friend.:) As far as humping? Train the dog!:p

Dogs are by far my favorite. I have always loved dogs. I havent had a dog that slobbers, licks me all the time or anything like that. You can do more with dogs than cats. I did have two cats when I was little and miss them to death though. But dogs still rule.

DOGS are GREAT!!!

dogs eat what you give them.
dogs let you know they like you.
Dogs guard and protect.
Dogs come when you call and do what you ask.
dogs don't bring dead things into the house.
Dogs take you for walks,runs,hunts,play with you,swim,AND chase cats:D ....
And when you talk to you dog he LOOKS interested!:rolleyes:

cats are cute..and nice to pet...but somehow i got allergies to 'em....dogs are great companions, they have a mind and are more active, a dog actaully can look like they smile, when cats have a straight face or an evil one such as the one kate posted in the 'funny' thread...(i dont like disrespectful cats :funny: )

DOGS

My Siberian Huskies are lazy and sleep all day long. They need to get up and get job. But they kill birds, mice, rabbits, squirrels, basiclly anything with four legs or two. But that's what I get for having the closest dog breed to the wolf.

Shes a Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. Check out the big paws! Shes trained to do just about everything I could think of! Shes a soccer goalie, frisbee dog, obstacle runner, 50+ voice and hand commands, and will not chase cats or squrrels. And the best temper I have ever known in any dog, that is that active:) I am very lucky to have her!:)

I have two beautiful Siberian Huskies.

Female red and white with the blue eyes name Cheyenne. She weighs about 55-60 lbs. She's thinks the rules the house. Like stealing my bed when I was away.

Male, black and white with the blue eyes name Dakota. He weighs 70-80 lbs. He loves food!!!!!!!!

when i was a kid, there was always a dog around. loved those mutts. however, since i live in an apartment, a dog is out. no yard for one to run in. i do have a cat, name of K.C. and he has been with me for over 14 years. luv that furball. michael

Just because I'm a petite woman doesn't mean I can't handle my own. :p ;) Thats right a big person can be handled by the smallest. I knew a guy who was pretty big and a football player lifted weights and everything. He got jacked by two car loads of teens and the did quite the job on him, it was his brother who is like a third of his size who came out a did a number on the two car loads, but thats the way he was brought up. He had to fight his way everyday, he had to do what it took to survive. The dude was smaller than me and I'm 5,9 and 145 pounds. he took on those kids which were like 9 of em like it was nothing. They even had a bat with them, but that didn't stop him from doing a number on them. They did a number on my freind too, his teeth came through his lip and he needed stitches for his wounds. They got him pretty bad.:smirk:

Yeah, looks can be deceiving.

They told me during my law enforcement classes to never discredit a person's ability to injure. . . .no matter what their size.

They stressed to us that a small person can injure you just as much as a large person can.
