View Full Version : American videos ok on Aussie TV?

Well are they? Cos I have just bidded a kind of large amount for a video on ebay and I'm just hoping that the video will work on my tv. It'd be ok right? :uhh:

I'm not sure. The video systems are different though, I think. I'm not really sure though. Sorry.

Sorry, but this ain't a "good answer".
Are you Aussie's using PAL or NSTC?

Europe uses PAL, while America uses the other method.

There is a difference in the American and Australian systems. Australia also has PAL?
But there is a diff in Europe PAL and American ntsc and there are vcr players that can play both :)

Well I found out the videos are NTSC and just luckily I got a VCR that plays NTSC as well last year! :D So everything should be fine......Thanks for your help guys :)

Well I actually got outbid on the item but the guy thats selling it says he's got another copy and we made this deal....saved 20 bucks :) But I still gotta pay a little over $100, oh well, its all worth it for the whole second season of Boston Public :p :D

Yeah its ridiculous I'm spending alot of money on them but I'm a bit crazy like that :p I'm finding it a bit hard to save it these days :sad:
