In memory of kelly. I went to a memorial today for those who have lost people because of prostitution, this is for freinds and family. tToday there were memorials in edmonton, calgary saskatoon and vancouver. I'm not sure if there were others. I hope that no one gets offended because of this poem. I doing this for people around the world who have been through this. I am sorry for your loss.
We can hear the voice of our lost and loved ones: "We are no longer in the ditch of the alley or the field or the trunk of your car. We are not even on the street corner. We are now present in the sun that shines, the stars that twinkle in the sky, the wind that blows, and the rain and the snow that fall upon the earth. We have been tranformed. Let the memory of our short lives be used for good so others can enjoy the peace and freedom that we were denied."
May our departed sisters ( and brothers) rest in peace as their spirit carries us forward.
