This has been bugging me for about a week. How did Mutt get that nickname of his. Does anyone know. I think it had something to do with his hair. I can't remember. Help!! http://www.shaniaforums.com/redface.gif

If anyone knows please post it cuz I would like to know that myself!
That's a very good question.
My GUESS is that it's his old rock-n-roll nickname he used back when he used to be in some rock group.
But that's just a guess.
If anyone knows the real reason, please tell us!

Very good question! I know "Mutt" was his childhood name, but not sure how he got it. I think I did read somewhere how he got it in the first place, but can't remember. LOL

well if it was a childhood name, then you know how parents give you nick names. that's just how they are. Most every one has a name people call them, that really isn't theres. I guess that was one that he liked, and it just stuck with him.

I know that there was a Shania site that was half Shania and half Mutt. But I have no idea what it was called!!! grrr! There was information about how he got his name there. All I know is that he got it in his childhood, I think when he was around 8, but I might be wrong.
Yeah, I remember now, Shania said it was a childhood nickname on a talk show a few years back. Ya'll are right.

"Come on over! Come on in!"
I found the Shania/Mutt site.
It said that Mutt and his brothers all had schoolboy nicknames.

Apparently he doesn't like being called Robert. He prefers Mutt! http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif

it says in the Robin Eggar bio too if you can find the book(it's a Shania bio of course)
Mutt? it's a nickname.. Well.. I've thought all the time it was a last name and no a nick name. OMG, if I'm wrong.. what a terrible mistake I've been!

now the name is stuck on him like cement he will forever be mutt!:D
I'm not sure I can like the name "Mutt". I think of a dog at a shelter that no one wants because it's a mutt. But Mutt being Robert or John would be weird to me.

After 50 years it mustn't be that hard anymore... heh. He can always think that he has fewer years of being a Mutt ahead of him than behind... :uhh:... well maybe not such a soothing idea after all...

In fact it is a childhood nickname and it's meant in its literal doggy sense. I'm fairly sure this could be backed by Eggar, alas am too lazy to check right now.

Why don't we breed a dog with Mutt hair, and call it a Mutt? :p
Don't think there's a dog breed whith longer blond curly hair ;) .
