-- The CMA has added Alison Krauss & Union Station, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Keith Urban, Phil Vassar and Darryl Worley to the list of performers on "The 36th Annual CMA Awards," live from the Grand Ole Opry House on Wednesday, November 6.

Shania Twain will open the awards show with her first televised appearance in three years. She will perform "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" from her forthcoming release, UP! The single remains among the most added songs in this part of the solar system.

I've a question,
when will the CMA Awards be broadcasted??
We have a satelite, so maybe we can get that channel!

I think this is broadcast through CBS?
I donīt know what other channels will broadcast it? Did I see something about BBC airing it live?

Cool! :) Wow... wouldn't it be cool if.... they said... "And here to start off the show, Shania Twain" and then we hear the sound of a motorcycle, and Shania appears riding a motorcycle up a ramp onto the stage lol! That would be cool! Just think how crazy nashville would go! lol hehe.

Well, this is SWEET! Shania opens the show, so I don't have to watch 3 hours of country music waiting for her! :p I can't WAIT! It's only like 2 weeks away! Okay 3, whatever! It's still SOON! :D

:smirk: Ok, Here's another thought that I have been kicking around for the last few days on that subject.

1. It would not be unusual for Shania to do this. (Remember 1999 when "Man, I Feel like a woman" was just out for a little over a month) We all thought she would knock the CMA's out with that song and outfit, instead she came out in the pink cowgirl outfit and sang Come on Over. (Suprise)

2) According to the Miley and BB's Journal, they are already practicing and singing the, and I quote" New Single to be the next song released"

3) IGGYG could be a teaser saying, "Hey I'm back, remember me and wait till I getcha good with this one", then hit em with the a new song

4) IGGYG is staged for a big POP run because of it's very nature both lyrically and Visually. In turn she would release a good Country song for the masses. She has done that before (Again when "Feel like a woman" It was sent and played on VH1 and MTV then she came out with Come on over for Country stations after the CMA's.

5) Our girl is pretty darn smart and knows how to work this business to her advanage. ;) ;)

Don't bet against her. As another reporter stated, she is one of the smartest ladies in the music business.
