Faith Hill's 'Cry'.

I love Faith, but I thought this CD was awful. Two of the songs are growing on me. .. . but I don't think it's her best work by a long shot.

The album is so dark and depressing.

I agree with you! I don´t like to say that, but I think Faith´s album is the most disappointing album in 2002! :(

I didn't buy many albums this year either, and two out of them were very dissapointing; Jennifer Paige's "Positively Somewhere" is just boring, and the Dixie Chick's "Home" kinda sucked, too. I only listened to it once:o And Faith Hill - "Cry" is HORRIBLE, luckily I didn't buy it though.

I know Tim McGraw's Set the Circus Down is a 2001 album, but the only song on it I liked was The Cowboy in Me. I have joked to some of my friends that if that CD had been his demo tape he never would have gotten a recording deal. Virtually every song on that CD he was talking, not really singing.

I really like Red Rag Top from his soon-to-be released new CD, so I am hopeful I will like that one. I know it's impossible to know what's inside a person's mind, but I get the impression that Tim is sorta getting bored as a recording artist.

I agree with Angie and Jasmin ... "Cry" has been the only one, so far, that I haven' liked. That record is terrible.

I absolutely love "Cry", but I can see where you're all coming from...:)

I actually love Céline Dion, but "A new day has come" is very dissapointing. So is Amanda Marshall's new album, I can't even remember the title. Oh, and not to forget Leann Rimes's "Twisted angel".

I agree with u Cawol:) Celine's album was so boring! Definitely not her best work. Leann's album wasn't that bad, but there was nothing that makes it standout:smirk:

I agree that "Cry" is a bit dark, but I think there is a lot of good material on there. I probably disagree that it's her worst because I'm not a fan of pure country music. In my opinion, her earlier albums weren't as creative or as strong. They sounded like standard Nashville productions.

Yup yup! I listened to most of the songs at Future Shop, and just couldn't force myself to like any of them, except for maybe one. Sometimes a CD with lots of ballads on it is good, but I think basically all them are!!! I just didn't like it. Her voice has no variety. And the songs, to me, are quite unoriginal. :uhh:

Now I like Cry, it is a really nice album :)

Hmm... I bought Def Leppard's 'X' and... 'Euphoria' and... The 'Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron' OST...
I don't think I bought anything that I don't like. Why would I buy an album that I don't even like?

I actually really liked "Set This Circus Down", but now that you mention it, there was a LOT of talking on many of the tracks!

Well, I won't be buying Faith Hill's new CD but I am going to get LeAnn Rimes's Twisted Angel. I love LeAnn's song "Life Goes On" and if that song is any indication on what her new CD sounds like, then I'm going to love it! I haven't gotten many new CDs that I didn't like.

Theres another one! yep i agree with you on that. Celine is a good artist, but A New Day Has Come was awful. Just same old cheesy ballad after another. When i read the liner notes and some of the songs on the cd were written by the production team that works with the backstrett boys and nsync i was like...CELINE!!! what the hell?!??!!?

I hate Faith Hill's Cry cd...it sucks! It is so not her...no heart, no feeling, and NOT COUNTRY!! It was by far the worst $10 I ever spent! I like Faith's first 2 cd's now they have all gone down HILL.
Yuk!
