Check out this great letter from Tower, printed in the Timmins Daily Press:
Shania’s new CD is simply awesome

Letters - TIMMINS RESIDENTS SHOULD be extremely proud of Shania — she hasn’t lost her touch.
The new CD comes in three colours and each one is not a remix, but a complete new recording of each of the 19 tracks.
It’s clever marketing that will generate huge sales as all Shania fans will buy the double album twice to get one green, one world and two pop versions of each song.
(Green is for the country and western fans, red is for pop fans and blue is the world version.)
The world version (blue) has to be heard to be believed. It is just so musical with styles from all over the world.
Her online fans, via the official Internet fan club, have now heard most of the album online and they are saying it is the best ever.
Wow! How do you beat “Come on Over”?
The U.K. single (red) entered at No. 4 on our charts and has the pop version only of “I’m Gonna Getcha Good” and both the pop and world versions of “C’est La Vie”.
That is such a catchy tune.
Lightweight lyrics, true, fun yes.
Can most people identify with the song? Most definitely!
I mean who can’t sing along to this: “It must be Monday, what a dumb day — can’t drag my butt out of bed.”
Or “Be a slob or keep my job — that is the choice we have; the daily grind can freak your mind — but life is not all that bad”
The world version of this song has a sort of “reggae” backbeat and it is simply awesome.
Timmins, you are lucky as Shania makes no secret of her hometown and promotes you tirelessly in interviews all round the world in addition to the video clips showing downtown Timmins and the old Maple Leaf Hotel.
You should also be proud of the many thousands of online fans like myself, who regard Timmins as our “second home,” fans who have stayed loyal to Shania and Timmins during the lean years and now our “Gal” is back we are going to have a ball when we see you all in Timmins this summer.
If Shania just happened to pay her hometown a visit while we are there, well that would be a big boost.
Shania, deep down, is a very private person and has gone to extremes to keep her family out of the media circus, yet she makes it clear she misses her hometown and childhood friends and would love to just go to Timmins Square and shop like everyone else.
Though even she does not know when, I am sure she longs to visit you again and thank everyone for the hard work and cash they put into the Shania Twain Centre.
Yes, if Shania just happened to pay her hometown a visit while we are there, well that would be a big boost.
However, like most true Shania fans, we respect her right for privacy and if she has private visits to Timmins, then that is cool too.
