Shania is on the cover of Country Music Today!!

This cover is gorgeous! :) She is wearing a strapless long red flowy dress sitting down with her guitar and she's wearing a black, red and blue sparkled cowboy hat with her curly long beautiful hair. :) It's the January/February 2003 issue of CMT's magazine Country Music Today. I just got it in the mail today and I was jumping for joy!!! Going NUTS!! :p Sorry I don't have a scanner or anything. There is a wonderful article and lots of great pictures of her in it. No, I just remembered! Remember the Shania in London Special and they showed some photo shoots. She had one in a red strapless dress with a cowboy hat. Is it that one!

You can buy it almost any newsstand or wherever the country magazines are sold in your area. :) I got mine in the mail,but that's because I just subscribed to the mag. :p

And what does Shania shop for?

"Just basic everyday things. I'm not the type of person that needs to fill my time with shopping. I'll avoid it. I do enjoy the markets. They've always got a lot of fresh food. Since there's a lot of farming, all the villages have farmers markets, so that's really nice. Everybody eats fresh bread."

Shania admits to finding herself significantly more emotional since her son's arrival. There is a real tenderness in her voice when she reveals how she sings him to sleep.
"I've got a couple of nursery rhymes that I sing to him, and I usually just caress his little head, and he falls asleep. :love: she confesses " but it's funny that I don't sing to him more, being a singer." Shania kindly does, however, consent to give us an exclusive listen via telephone from her hotel room in Germany to the original composition she sweetly sings to her son at bedtime...

He's not a hermit or anything like that the problem is that becase he now has a famous wife, he's finding it more difficult to maintain that.A lot of people say "Why doesn't he go to award shows with you? he's never seen with you and all of that. Well if he's seen wit me then hes in photographs and he just sort of loses the right to stay private. it's not fair. i never impose that on him. I just say" look, you don't have to come this is what i do. For those who have trouble finding it in the stores, a subscription might be in order. You know that in the next two years, especially when she starts to tour, there'll be plenty of stories and pictures on Shania. New issue isn't up on their site yet, but here's where you can go for info.

Many of Shania's fellow artists, including Vince Gill, understand the courageous concept. ( talking about the double disks) " To me it's all about having an open mind." Vince offers. "The only thing I've ever said as we country artists can be as contemporary as we want and go as far as we want, but please let's not lose some of the real meat of where this music comes from" If you take an audience somewhere , and all of a sudden have 15 million people that buy a Shania Twain record that aren't staunch, traditional country music fans, it'll lead them into so much other stuff .
