Well everybody is delighted to see Shania at Number 1 and no more than my fiancee and I. But Shania is much more than number 1 on any chart. This is the artist that will totally re write history! One look at the Aria charts this week says it all. Debuting at number 1 on both the album and country charts as well as debuting at number 1 on the state charts (QLD, VIC, TAS). Way to to Shania! The album entered at no 4 in the UK, behind Robbie Williams, Westlife and Blue, but unlike singles, albums go up and down so there is still plenty of time for it to get to no 1.

The single has fallen to No 11 after three weeks which aint as bad as it may seem as a lot of very high profile artists have been releasing singles in the UK over the last three weeks. For instance Kylie came in at 8 last week and this week it is No 22.The good news is that the dreaded Will Young has only entered at No 2 and the album has dropped out of the top 20 already. Although why Christine Aguilera is at No 1 heaven only knows, just goes to prove that sex sells above talent again.
