CBC airing "Shania Twain: Catchin' Up!" commercials

CBC is airing the commercials for the one hour "Shania Twain: Catchin' Up!" documentary December 9. It's a completely different interview. Shania is wearing a black baseball cap that says Canada on it and they're showing new footage of photo shoots ect... :cool: It's going to be awesome.

SHANIA TWAIN: CATCHIN' UP, AN INTIMATE INTERVIEW ON CBC TV MONDAY, DECEMBER 9 AT 9 P.M.

The world's largest-selling female artist, Canada's own Shania Twain is back from a two-year hiatus with a new single, a new CD and a CBC Television documentary to be seen Monday, December 9 at 9 p.m. CATCHIN' UP, an hour-long special, is an intimate interview with Ralph Benmergui and will include clips from her new video, the making of her new video and some sounds from her new CD.

Benmergui traveled to Lausanne Switzerland, where Twain now lives - "I was finding it more and more difficult to find where I could be me, not the famous me, just me. (Here) I can leave fame behind...I can shop for myself. I can take Eja to the park. I can go anywhere I want to go. I'm not treated as a special person here."

to speak with her about her family, - "My priorities have changed - he's (son Eja) the focus of every day. Emotionally I'm more sensitive... He's brought so much love and depth to my life."

her music - "I was never comfortable up on stage. It was intimidating being so young and having an adult audience and they were drinking on top of that. Most of them were half drunk by midnight. Through my whole childhood I always dreamt I'd be Stevie Wonder's backup singer. I never dreamt I'd be the front person and be the singer and centre. I always preferred to be in my room and write my songs."

her youth - "I've been singing since I was eight years old in bars. There are only a handful of kids at school who are popular and the others aren't. It builds character to not always have things go your way. That was definitely the case for me a lot of times. It made me more of a survivor, and things roll off my back more easily. I learned how to take constructive criticism quite young. And I matured a lot quicker. Having to go to school without lunch and having to save face when the teacher would ask where your lunch was.

- and her values "I'm not a wanting person. A simple lifestyle would suit me. I would happily chop wood. I don't take all this seriously. I would give it up happily if I had to. I won't give Eja everything. I don't fly to Paris to buy him designer clothes - he gets whatever the store has."

As a big hockey fan, I subscribe to DirecTV's Center Ice NHL package, so the only time I ever get to watch the CBC is when it shows Canadian broadcasts. Last night during the Hockey Night in Canada doubleheader, the CBC ran this promo during every period and during all the intermissions, a total of about a dozen times. The first time I saw it, I about fell out of my chair because I wasn't expecting something like that.
For the rest of the night, I went to the bathroom and got my snacks when the game was on, so I could watch all the commercial breaks.
I mean I am a huge hockey fan, but a Shania fanatic has to have his priorities straight.
