Just curious if anyone has any special concert memories that they wanted to share...
I had a chance to see the Timmons concert in July 1999. My friend and I drove 14 hours from New Jersey to Timmons, and then waited on line for 12 hours for this general admission outdoor concert. Ended up in the front row (under the canopy) and Shania and the crowd were absolutely fantastic. As soon as Leahy finished their set, it started pouring, and continued to rain for Shania's entire show. Shania could have stayed under the canopy during the concert, but hell no... She was out on the catwalk getting soaked with the rest of the crowd. The concert was incredible and she closed with Rock the Country on Canada day. The crowd went absolutely wild.
Second favorite moment was when she autographed the Timmons concert newspaper while singing live on stage in New Jersey in November of 1999.

Well, Shania was my first concert ever, so that makes it extra special!!! The whole thing was amazing! Especially when those guys carried her around so that everyone could see her!

I saw Shania in concert 3 times during her last tour. The first show was by far the most memorable. It was only the 9th day of her tour, and she only had 3 previous shows under her belt. It was back in the days when everyone was wondering if she could sing live. I had no idea what her opening and closing songs would be, or all the fun she had planned for in-between. The most memorable moment for me was when she controlled the spotlight and shone it on the crowd, had us repeat "Yeah", and then broke into "Any Man Of Mine", which is the song that got me hooked on Shania in the first place, and sounded incredible on stage!!! In fact, she sang "No One Needs To Know", "Any Man Of Mine", and "Don't Be Stupid" all in a row towards the end of the concert, which were my favourite 3 songs at the time! I lost my voice! I'll remember those 15 minutes for the rest of my life.........

It was my first concert too!
Unfortunately, I don't remember a lot of the concert. I was really young- only 11. But I do remember Shania giving beauty tips- saying that she wears chapstick on tour because lipstick just comes off. She also told us a story about the guitar she uses during YSTO. And of course, when she was carried around on the platform by the guys! :D That's the closest she ever came to be, since our seats weren't that great. But another cool thing was 2 drummers from my school played in If You're Not In It For Love I'm Outta Here!!!! Isn't that awesome?!?! I talked to one of the drummers the next day at school. He got all the band member's autographs.
Hopefully I'll build even more good memories next time I see Shania! :D

I have seen her 3 times and each was great and she performed different each time. My most memorable would have to be the Sacramento concert because on the way up there I had put a flag saying "on my way To see Shania" and while we were on the freeway it started banging on my car and ended up scratching it all up!! But I just laughed because now every time I look at it I'm reminded of the great time I had at the concert.
It was also memorable because of how down to earth she is, as she talked to the crowd. In doing so during this concert the funniest thing happened as she asked a lady how she was doing? The lady said I just want to thank you because your music has really helped out my sex life!! Shania was so embarrassed and busted up laughing as did the rest of the crowd!! Shania is the BEST!!!

Timmins, Ontario was the concert I was at and the best concert I've ever been to. We got to Timmins(Which is only one hour away from where I come from anyways) at 8:00PM the night before the concert. Got in line at about 4:00AM or something like that in the morning and then I think it was about 6:00AM when we went into the official lineup in the Park. About 4:00PM we we're all instructed to stand up and at 5:30 or 6:00 we're let into the stage area. Me and my friends we're 3rd group in line but arrived for the lineup originally 2nd group I think. Anyways got right up to the catwalk on the Right side.
Greatest moments we're when she opened the show. She did the usual "Are you ready (Timmins)" Part and then they started but they had blankets covering the whole band and her. Then When they came to the second Verse before the 1st Chorus of MIFLAW the Blankets came up and Fire Flames came out and there they we're. AMAZING.
Second moments we're when I got to touch her hand twice in all during the concert.

I have been to many concerts for country and rock performers over the years but the Shania concert at Riverbend Ampitheater in Cincinnati in 1998 was by far the best one my wife and I ever attended. The whole show with her and Leahy was simply mesmerizing - the crowd - of all ages and types was unbelievable. I think we sat on our seats for no more than a half hour of the show. She passed within 20 feet of us on her "chariot". An unforgettable experience.

The second time I saw her was in 1999 the day before thanksgiving and I was in the front row. When she was singing "You win my love" she pointed at ME!! It was the best night ever, on top of that she signed my program, and the next night her special from Dallas aired so it was a Shania filled week. Then again, isn't every week a Shania filled week!?!

My most memorable moment was probably when Shania came through the crowd. She passed near me, and I really got a great view of her, and just how amazingly beautiful she really is in person.
My second most memorable moment was when a cute girl from the crowd suddenly decided to sit on my lap. I had a seat on the end of the row, and apparently this girl didn't have a ticket for an actual seat. So she just asked me if she could sit on my lap for awhile, and hey, who was I to say no? :)
She sat there for a song or two, and we chatted, but then security caught her since she didn't have a ticket for those seats. :(
I know, that didn't have anything to do with Shania, but it was very memorable for me. ;)

I was fortunate enough to see Shania in concert twice so far. The first time was her actual tour. It was just phenomenal. There are several highlights for me... When I saw her, It was Halloween, so when the concert started, Shania and the band members were all wearing masks. When she Performed GBTC with a local choir, that was spectacular. When she shined the huge spotlight around the audience, and it hit me for a split-second- I felt as if she was actually looking at me! Getting to touch her jacket when she threw it to the audience while on the pedistool. So many good moments. When I saw her the second time at the Houston Live Stock Show And Rodeo, she was very different than any other artist I'vve ever seen. They have a rotating stage, and she asked to stop it. When it did not stop, she simply walked all around so everyone could see her. She was and is simply amazing.
