Well, 2002 is almost over, so of course it's time for lists of the top entertainers, top videos, top songs, top news stories, top everything of 2002. But what about YOUR life? What was your favourite, or most memorable moment from 2002? The thing that sticks out in your mind. The thing that 2002 will be remembered for.

I have a couple of things- one of which is a little too person to reveal ;)- but definately one of the top 2 things for me in 2002 was Canada's women's hockey team winning the gold medal in Salt Lake City. I'd been awaiting the Olympics for so long. And after the 8 losses to the US, and the whole refereeing ordeal, it was so nice to see these incredible ladies come out on top! :D

I won't ever forget the day my boss quit. Everything he used to look after landed in my lap. It is cool being in charge, but now I have the stress to go with it. ... And of course ... First hearing Shania's name in the news, and then hearing her new Single on CMT, and then hearing the whole CD, was something that will make 2002 stand out in my memory forever.

I of course also say shania's comeback. That was my highlight of the year but 2002 was for me more the saddest year ever... Both my grannies died this year and I lost a lot of other people I knew. And I got mononucleosis. And I still have that. But Shanias comeback made my year!!!!:) :) :)

well... i dont have a most memorable one but ill name a big decision which ill remember.

I had to make a big decision on what high school to go to...either leave all my friends and go to a school on the other side of the city or stay with them and go to school across the street...this may seem easy but its really not. At least some friends came with me and i dunno this is a stupid memory now that im typing it out.

1 Finding the forums and Shania's return

The worst:

The untimely and totally unexpected death recently of one of my nearest and dearest Scrabble buddies, at the age of 45!
He left a two year old daughter and wife. He had a bad heart from birth but took good care of himself - he just keeled over on his computer keyboard at work on December 4th and they could not get his heart going right away - he stayed in ICU on life support for 2 1/2 weeks before passing away and he never regained consciousness. I played Scrabble with him quite often, ever since we met in the mid - 80s. And we traveled to tournaments all over the country together. I am just now coming to grips with it.

That is very sad Bob. I am sorry to hear about your loss. I know firsthand how hard and shocking it is to lose someone close to you so suddenly. That sounds very similar to my dad's passing. He suffered an aneurysm. He was talking to my mom at one moment and then he just fell over and passed out the next and by the time the paramedics arrived it was too late. There were no signs, no symptoms....it just happened.

Life sometimes is so short and hopefully we remember to tell the people that we love how much they mean to us. Because nothing is worse than walking around for the rest of your life regretting what you never said.

well mine was......... the first time I went to the choir. This particular moment wasn't even that special but everything that followed that moment made 2002 unforgettable!!! I met so many great people, here on the forums and out there in the 'real world'. Oh one special moment just comes to my mind. It's just 2 weeks ago I think, I was elected into the managment of my choir. I didn't expect it at all and it made me soooooooooo happy.

I know it doesn't sound so special besides all of you getting engaged and meeting Shania but luckily this whole love thing wasn't so important for me this year.
I just realized how important music is for me and how much it can give to me. I am totally happy with this. 2000 and 2001 weren't great, at times even horrible but 2002 just blowed it all off. It was a great year and I hope 2003 will be just as great as 2002!!!!!

Bye Ces*
