Okay. So, we've been hearing a lot of people say that they think that this will be Shania's last tour and album. So, I ask you now, everyone, please sign this petition asking her not to do so,and to carry on making music. Maybe this isn't the case at all, but even if it isn't we still have the oppurtunity to show Shania how much she means to us. Please sign (Call this a pre-epmtive strike if you will)

Count me in, I hope this isn't her last album, if it's her last tour I can understand - your priorities change when you have kids.

This isn't her last album - trust me. :)
If she wants to quit, then I say let her quit. And no I am not saying that she wants to quit. But I want her to be happy and if staying at home with her family makes her happy, then I don't want to convince her to stay on the road.
I think Shania knows how much her fans love her. A casual glance at any sales chart confirms how many people are mad over her. I don't think she needs any reassuring or convincing.
If she walks away she will know that she is leaving behind a whole legion of happy, satisfied, and grateful fans......sad and depressed too, but I think most, like myself, would understand and be happy that she is happy....
Spending time with ones family is the biggest blessing in the world. Your baby is only young once. You only have one lifetime to create special memories with your lover. I think she deserves these things just as much as anybody. So if walking away will make her happy, then I hope she does :)

Maybe it´s just me but I am just happy she is back now with a truly wonderful album. I just like to enjoy that :)

Amen! I could not have said it any better.
I am happy for what Shania has done both past and present. The special gift of her music, personality and fun she has shared with all of us will be there for the rest of time. We all need to be happy, for it's a once around the block tour for all of us.

I think she'll be around a long time. She loves her fans too much to just stop while she's the most popular artist in the world. C'mon, let's have faith! :)

If she does quit, I'm locking myself in the closet and never coming out.
I very much doubt if UP! will be Shania's last
album.Performing,music & being creative is in
her blood.She may well take a few years off,but
I can't see her leaving it all behind her.She's
in a strong position where she can take a few
years off,& then make a big comeback.It will
still leave plenty of time for a family life.
Veteran artistes like Dolly Parton,Bob Dylan
Tanya Tucker,Neil Young are still making music
decades on even though they could have retired
years ago.And I believe all of them,except Dolly
also have kids.I see Shania being with us for
many years to come.AMEN!

I don't want her to quit because I love her so much. :love:
But. . if the publicity and attention is getting to be too much for her, then I don't want to torture her by begging her to keep doing it.
It's her choice and I want her to be happy.
I could be selfish and say, "Shania you can't quit!!!"
But I have to realize that it's her life and she is the one who decides if she wants to be 'Shania' anymore. :smirk:
I think Shania wants to be with her son more. . .surely we can all understand that right? :uhh:
I think it's too early to 'count her out' just yet. Her new album has just been released, so it's impossible to tell if she'll be back or not.
I'll hope for the best. . and enjoy her current album while it's out. :)

Please don't mention the solitary writer J.R.R TOLKIEN! Please!! He never wanted any recognition...you should know that bud! Change you're name man!!
First I have heard of these rumors. Where did they originate anyone?
Obviously I hope this isn't Shania's last album/tour, but if it is, what a way to finish :)

I´m very proud of Shanias music. It´s her own decision whether she wants or not to continue. I´ll be her fan whatever she decides to do :up:

I don't think Shania is quitting anytime soon. :rolleyes: I don't know why all of you get worked up over nothing. She has said many times in recent interviews that this may be the most exciting time in her whole career. I don't think that sounds like she wants to quit. :uhh:

And Shania herself told that UP! was not going to be her last album.
About this whole issue, have people seen for example the VH1 interview? Shania addresses these issues (not about quitting, but about the promo thing and fame thing) there. So instead of speculating, why not listen to the woman herself. :smirk:

im happay if shania's happy and i was looking through some old articles and shania said that although she looks forward to the day when she stops being famous she WILL produce music for as long as the fans and general public buy her music and want more
her position has changed with now being a mum but this is what she said

They think because Shania is human and imperfect as we all are that we will buy their silliness. They like attention and they do not care for others' feelings.

TO be honest she can stay at home after puting an album out like this. LOL LOL LOL. nO BUT SERIously people I HAD VERY high expectations for her next album and THERE ARE Pretty much 50/50. Her last albums to me were 100/100. jmo
