Another new first for Shania?

i was thinking. When a new album is released by an artist it tends to boost sales of thier previous albums. Now, in US Shania is on 19M with Come On Over, now assuming it gets that sale boost from Up!, when it's next certified platinum it will be for 20 million, which will mean she will be the 1st woman to have a double diamond US album. Do you guys think that this will happen?

Very difficult to know. Shania hasn't been in the spotlight for some time now, which could mean 1. People have lost interest or 2. People couldn't wait for her return.

On the otherhand it might just sell 20 million on the strengh that it is a great album!

I definately think it will. A lot of stores have been selling Come On Over (as well as The Woman In Me) right along side Up! on the shelves. They've got COO and Up! side by side both on the charts, and in the new releases section. I'm pretty sure she'll make it to 20 million pretty soon! Shania has a lot of young fans- I became a fan when I was 11, Curt was pretty young when he was a fan, and there's TONS of other young kids out there loving Shania. But maybe the kids who were too young to be in the album-buying population will now be old enough to take an interest in buying Up!, and hopefully COO and TWIM too! :D
