SHANIA SIGHTINGS
After five weeks at the top of the albums charts, Shania's press profile remains high. Catch her in major publications coming up in the next three months. January, ROLLING STONE; February, Seventeen Magazine. And, on the covers of Ladies Home Journal in March and Jane magazine in April.


Jane is one to watch. They're a bit nasty and confrontational. Anybody read the job they did on Faith? The interviewer got her in a car, (so she couldn't walk out), and then asked the tough questions...the ones everybody tip-toes around, dealing with Faith's personal life. Faith freaked out, and handled it very badly, and that was the angle of the story. I've always thought that Shania would have handled it much better. You can bet, they won't be asking her why she lives in Switzerland. This one will be worth reading.

The Jane interview should be very interesting......

They were down right nasty to poor Faith..handled poorly, she did what any women could do when their integrity was in question...blast back.... The questions they asked her were nasty and she deserved to get p*ssed off......

Asking her about her sex partners and if she had an affair with Alan Jackson......imagine how we would feel if they asked Shania if she slept her way to the top. Faith did not deserve that abuse.

Wow...poor Faith. I didn't read it, but man. That's a sticky situation that no one really even cares to know about. It's none of our business who someone slept with, because it's the past. Faith's happily married now. Same w/ Shania. This certainly will be interesting!!!

Well, hopefully it will be a different writer. Maybe after that piece on Faith, the editor got mad, but then again, the mag got a lot of press off of that piece, so maybe they will approach Shania in the same horrid manner......imagine all the nasty things they can throw her way.....questions about her marriage, about Eja, about how some perceive her in Nashville.....all the rumors, they could try to do a real number on her....they might wanna try and take her down...

Yep, SOO true, unfortunately. But, in the same way, they are losing those people that they interview that way. If I were Faith, I would never allow another interview from them again! & that's losing readers, because we know that certain people's faces sell more than others, & Faith sells a lot, & if she's never back, they lose some buyers...in a way. Do ya get what I'm saying? It's hard to explain what I'm tryin' to say!

I understand what your saying, you make a great point. Faith and Shania really sell magazines, that is why they are always on so many. And it would not be wise to alienate your top draws as far as magazine covers go....

It probably also depends on how the readers take to it. If they have more cynical and nasty type readers who like to read that kind of smut, then they will keep interviewing that way....but, if they receive tons of mail saying that the article was horrid, then they might try to change their ways......

But they are known to do this kind of stuff. I think actress Laura Flynn Boyle (??) was dragged through the mud in one interview and they posted a nasty remark on the front page by her pic!! They love doing this kind of stuff.....

I bet they will try to same routine on Shania.....

Even by Faith's pics they made snide remarks like, "Gee, we told ya she sure is pretty!" but in a nasty and not a nice way....so imagine what they would put next to Shania's pics....

I wouldn't worry about it. Shania and Faith are two completely different people. Shania's life is an open book - literally. Everything about her past was revealed in the Robin Eggar biography. The ups, the downs, and yes, even the sex. Shania has never really tried to hide anything, and she's talked about all of these subjects before. Faith, on the other hand, seems to try much harder to portray a "perfect", or at least wholesome, image. So I can see how the digging up of "dirt" would be much more harder on Faith than on Shania.

It is important for a celebrity to control the environment of the interview as much as possible. I remember seeing an interview with Mick Jagger. He was asked a tough question. He responded by saying he didn't understand what the interviewer was getting at. This is code for "Get off this topic. I don't want to answer it." But the interviewer persisted. When he asked another even tougher question, Jagger just stood up and walked away without saying anything....LOL

I agree that a celeb has to control the environment as much as possible, but sometimes when you have a reporter hell bent on taking you down it becomes hard....

Faith was basically cornered in the backseat of the limo when the reporter started asking her these questions. And I don't know any women who would not get angry when their sexual practices and morals are attacked....If I was married and a reporter started asking me if I was basically a sl*t who slept around, I would say a little bit more than, "Oh, no comment"....

Women celebs always have to face this type of stuff when they are beautiful and successful, and I bet it makes them really angry.

I'd be so dostressed if they did anything like they did to Faith to Shania. Shani's been through enough in he life without those sick ******* mother ****ers getting her in a ****ing car and askiing questions like "what did you wanna do when your slimeball brother betrayed you?". Well, Robin Eggars already asked about the slimeball. That was when Shania told him that she had forgiven Darryl. He asked if Darryl was still unwelcome. I believe Shania's exact words were, "Not to me. I'm a very forgiving person now. That's all over. Past."

Good Grief that is really obsurd since Alan Jackson is Butt-a** ugly! They could have at least asked her if she slept with someone a little better looking, not someone that looks like an albino hillbilly. No telling what they'll ask Shania. I doubt they will have the opportunity to corner her off guard. Shania wouldn't even let Katie Couric into her Chateau in Switzerland!

Shania.com is saying the cover story will be the Feb 6 edition, on sale Jan 17th.
