No, that wasn't her. But Shania taped every show of her tour, and has said she has Avril's appearance, and was going to send her a copy.

This of course is a rumor. And I hope that Shania does at least one song by herself. Then maybe a duet with somebody else. But duet wise, I think No Doubt would be cool to sing with Shania. And of course these are the same people that said the Dixie Chicks were performing at the Superbowl, or at least doing God Bless America or something. So nothing is confirmed yet, except for Shania. I guess I'm being kinda selfish, I want Shania to sing by herself, so all 800 million viewers can really see who are girl is!!! :D :D :D :D

I'd love to see Martina and Shania do a duet... not sure what Laura thinks of the idea, though. LOL I think if they did a duet, it would be a country one, as Martina's perfectly happy doing country music. My idea of the perfect duet would be Shania and LeAnn, with Faith on harmonies. (Okay, so it's not a duet, I just can't choose two people when I like all three so much. LOL) Well, I can only hope and wait till the 26th to find out... only 19 days to go...

Access Hollywood announced Beyonce Knowles will belt out a tune with Santana and Michelle Branch will also team up with Santana for the Superbowl...it never said if they were part of the halftime show...it could be pre-game show. No mention of No Doubt. Then they followed by saying you'll find out what Shania will sing at the Superbowl tomorrow.

Watch Access Hollywood tomorrow Jan 8 cause they're showing a preview of Shania's new video UP! and a Superbowl exclusive. :)

Maybe it's Mutt :) Shania is in the middle of one of her songs and then she hears this voice and she thinks, "That sure sounds familiar......" and she turns around and surprise! it's Mutt belting out a tune :D Then they go into a sweeping duet and she can say, "See he does exist!"

Chicks, Santana, No Doubt To Rock Super Bowl

The Dixie Chicks, No Doubt, and Santana have been tapped to perform during the Super Bowl XXXVII festivities Jan. 26 in San Diego. The National Football League (NFL) has confirmed that the Chicks will perform the National Anthem prior to the game, while No Doubt's official Web site notes that the band will take part in the AT&T Wireless-sponsored halftime show. And NFL sources tell Billboard.com that Santana will perform with special guests during the pre-game show.

As previously reported, country artist Shania Twain will also be performing during the halftime show. Celine Dion also will reportedly be on hand to perform a rendition of "God Bless America" before the game, although the NFL has not yet confirmed her participation.

For the Dixie Chicks, the honor is something the group has been hoping to achieve for a long time. "For three years, we've been asking to perform 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Super Bowl," lead singer Natalie Maines told Billboard last month, when the group was in negotiations with the NFL.

"Anyone who tells you there's no pressure to sing the National Anthem 'live' to one of the biggest television audiences on the planet is not telling the truth," fellow Chick Emily Robison said in a statement today (Jan. 8). "Sure, I'm a little nervous, but we're all also very excited and honored for the privilege."

The Dixie Chicks are up for four Grammy awards, including the album of the year trophy for their latest album, "Home" (Monument/Columbia). Released in September, the set debuted at No. 1 The Billboard 200 and held the post for three consecutive weeks. The album has sold 3.8 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.

For Santana, the performance will precede a world tour that's due to kick off Feb. 12 in Laredo, Texas. He'll be on the road in support of his namesake group's guest-laden Arista album, "Shaman." The set debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200, and has sold 1.5 million copies in the U.S. No Doubt's latest, "Rock Steady" (Interscope), debuted in December 2001 at No. 9 on The Billboard 200, and has sold 2.4 million copies in the U.S.

International Singing Sensation Celine Dion to Sing 'God Bless America' at Super Bowl XXXVII

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Multiple Grammy Award winner CELINE DION will sing "God Bless America" prior to Super Bowl XXXVII at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego Sunday, Jan. 26, the NFL announced today.
Dion will perform as part of the pre-game show before the Dixie Chicks rendition of the National Anthem prior to Super Bowl XXXVII. The game will be televised by ABC to an expected 130 million viewers in the United States and 800 million viewers worldwide. The Super Bowl is annually the nation's highest-rated TV program and the most-watched single-day sporting event.

David Foster, who has won 14 Grammy Awards, will create the arrangement to "God Bless America" for Dion.

Dion's performance marks the first time "God Bless America" has been performed at the Super Bowl. Last year, Marc Anthony and Mary J. Blige sang "America the Beautiful." That same song was performed previously at Super Bowl XXXV by Ray Charles and at Super Bowl XI by Vicki Carr.

"I'm honored to be asked to sing this meaningful song at the Super Bowl," Dion said. "I hope that this New Year brings peace to the world."

Bob Best of Best Productions in Tampa, FL will executive produce his 19th pregame show for the NFL. He will be assisted by consulting producer Roddy White.

Following the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks, Dion worked with Foster to release her first song in two years, "God Bless America", the cover song to an album also featuring Mariah Carey, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel. Proceeds from the album were donated to those who came to the rescue and assisted in the efforts.

The NFL previously announced the Dixie Chicks will sing the National Anthem. Other pre-game performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Local News - One of the world’s biggest sports spectacles will have a decidedly Timmins twist this year.


Tuesday, it was confirmed country superstar Shania Twain will be one of the entertainers at this year’s AT&T Super Bowl XXXVII Halftime show on Jan. 26. The NFL game, to be played at the 70,000-seat Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, will be broadcast on TV around the world, reaching an audience of roughly a billion people.


Twain, who also sang at the Grey Cup game in Edmonton in November, is riding high these days. About three million copies of her new album Up! have sold since November.


Since the release of Up!, Shania has been active on the interview circuit. She recently appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman as well as the Today Show on NBC. She was also the subject of a CBC Television documentary and appeared on CMT on New Year’s Eve.


On several different occasions on the interview circuit, she talked glowingly of her hometown, Timmins. She has also graced the cover of Time magazine, People, Redbook and Rolling Stone. The country music sensation will also be featured in Seventeen in February and will beautify the cover of Ladies Home Journal in March.
