Yeah, 73 is good!
But they told me the billboard hot 100, is made of sales and airplay from popradio. So, how can Up be in the charts???
Do you know the debut of IGGG?
Does that mean that pop stations are playing if so or if anyone has heard it can you please tell me where so I can start requesting?
This may sound dumb, but can someone explain exactly what is the Billboard Top 100?

It's in ther epurely on airplay. Single sales are very insignificant in the States, or so I've been told, so that's why.

I belive it the Top 100 singles in the US based on a combination of airplay and single sales.

It wouldn't make any sence, because, if you look who sells most and who got most airplay, you'll be confused.
The billboard are charts for their self, the best song at one, and so on. It's made of their own thinkin'. but there are also selling charts and airplay charts and some other!
It's based partially on sales and then airplay. Sales are not as important to the # as they used to be. Just until a few years ago, you couldn't have a song on the Billboard Hot 100 unless you had a commercialy sellable single available. Now that has changed. Single's sales are down almost next to nothing, so selling the most singles doesn't mean squat unless it's an exorbitant amount. Example Kelly Clarkson. When her single was released back in September I believe it was, it went to # one because of her sales, they were huge. I believe it was over 200,000 in a week. Nobody else sold more then 25,000. That makes a huge difference.
As far as airplay, it's not just pop stations, it's all formats of stations monitored for billboard.

I hope Shania will get nevertheless a single which goes to one and sells at least one million copies!

I see J.L has a no1 song and another top 40 song on Billboard hot 100 this week.
Whereas the most popular female singer Shania has just two songs bubbling at the lower 100.
It seems that RadioStations in the USA don't play songs according to the taste of majority.
May be Shania's company doesn't buy enough commercial time?

Is Shania the most popular female singer in the USA?
