From Brad Schmitt's column in the Nashville Tennessean:
All this cheese talk is making me hungry
Wow! Hundreds of you wrote to talk about Shania Twain's Super Bowl halftime performance. Yesterday, I described her look during her lip-synched performance as ''star-spangled bosom (with) a space-age dominatrix outfit.'' And Tennessean music writer Peter Cooper called her performance cheesy.
I'll start your thoughts with John Erik Kaunisto, a Shania fan from Vaasa, Finland:
''If Shania Twain isn't what Americans want, we in Finland would have her over here any day, 'her star-spangled bosom and her space-age dominatrix outfit' and all! Maybe it's a Northern thing.''
Jana Hayes also liked Shania's performance and thinks she should've done the entire halftime show.
''I mean, I like Sting and No Doubt as much as the next person, but Gwen Stefani sounded horrible. She should have lip-synched.''
But many of you were less than impressed with Shania's outfit and her performance.
Rosemary Davis of Harrodsburg, Ky., sums up: ''It was Catwoman meets Milli Vanilli.''
Writes Bill Yarbor of Haubstadt, Ind.: ''To say that it was cheesy is to denigrate cheesiness.''
