Today marks the 20th anniversary of the date Karen Carpenter passed away due to complications that arrose from her bout with anorexia nervosa.
Karen has always been, and always will be, my favorite female vocalist of all time. Her talent as a musician (drummer) was only exceeded by her amazing voice. Karen had argueably the most beautiful voice in all genres of music. Karen's vocal style has influenced other artists through the years including Shania. I will forever miss her.
In her memory I have set aside even my Shania Twain CDs for the day.
