Let´s meet Friday 11th July in London.

It would be great if we all meet on Friday evening in London.
I am suggesting a pub called Black Lion.
Black Lion´s location is something everyone can find.

Black Lion is situated in the Bayswater area.
123 Bayswater Rd W2 just off Queensway.
Phone 020 7229-0917
Nearest tube station: Queensway. (Central Line) (a few minutes from Central London)
When you come out of the Queensway station it is just across the street, facing Hyde Park,
on the Bayswater Road.

6 PM Friday 11th July would be a good time, most would have arrived by then.

Black Lion is small, but the location is excellent.
A) most stay at a hotel in Bayswater area
B) those that don´t stay in the area can easily find it
C) it is Friday evening in July, there are zillions of billions of tourists in the centre of London, therefore it would be difficult to gather us all there
D) those who wish to continue evening, can easily get to the centre when they so wish, bus stop and tube are right next door

I would like to ask a favor from our British members, could someone call the facility, and confirm they are open at time, and also ask how many people can they accommodate in their back room, where they have tables for those who like to eat. And if they take reservations? Also confirm if they allow minors in?

We just gotta make some plans, otherwise small groups will arrange something amongst themselves, if they already haven´t. But it would be great if we could all meet :)

Yeah i know my one is meant to arrive at 4.30pm and Pers about 4.50pm (i am waiting to accompany Per to Hotel) i think so by the time we get sorted with the train as well and arrive it will be 6.00pm and then we will have to get ready and sorted at the hotel as well! Its too early Marika.

LOL, come on people, let´s not get fixated on the time. The idea is to have a meeting place that is fixed beforehand, a place that everyone can find easily.
We cannot book a restaurant beforehand, because we don´t know how many will turn up. There are plenty of small restaurants in Queensway, so after we have all gathered, and if Black Lion´s facilities are too small or if their food is not too great (think English "cuisine" :p ) we can then move on to a restaurant for dinner, as I would expect many would like to eat something.

If those that arrive earlier have found a good restaurant we could all possibly fit in, then we could try that. Or something.
But the idea is to have a meeting place.
We would not be having dinner at 6PM :funny:
We would wait for people to arrive, and the really latecomers should give their mobile number to one or two of those arriving earlier, so in case we would have to change places if it gets too crowded, or people getting hungry, and Black Lion could not provide dinner, then those latecomers would know where we went.

It is impossible to plan everything now, as the situation there can change things, so we have to go by what we plan ahead, and the only thing we can plan is the meeting place, right?

Tupi, I would think you have no problems entering the pub.

But to be sure, I asked if one of our British members would be so kind as to ring the place and ask about their policy, plus ask about the food and how many tables they´ve got.
Just so we know those facts beforehand at least.
