Does Shania chat in the Shania.net chat room????

Hi,I've been chatting in the Shania.net chat room.And I've herd people say that Shania chats in the room.Is this true?Someone also told me that she posted on the boards.I dont belive any of it.But on the other hand I have seen a person enter as "Eileen speaks to her fans".Eather it was Shania or it was someone faking that they were her.I dont think it was her,but I could be wrong.Can someone please tell me if she does chat in the Shania.net room and what name she enters as?I would belive it if I herd if from Shania her self,but thats probaly not going to happen.

Hi, I have been going to shania.net chat every single night for the past 3 months (never missed but 1 night) and I have never seen Shania in there. There have been some people that pretend to be her but they come and go. sometimes we just like to tease them and ask the impersonators tough questions and they never seem to get them. You just have to watch out. A lot of people like to pretend they are her But the truth is that shania never comes in there... but you meet some great people in there so come back and visit sometimes we have great shania conversations.

If Shania were to come to the chat it would be pretty hard to prove if it were her or just somebody acting like her.

But that problem might be solved in the distant future. Doug, the owner of Roughstock.com is looking into a chat format that would work with the same user names and passwords as you have in the Forums.

With that being said, the user names "shania" and "shaniatwain" in the Forums have been saved for Shania herself. The invitation to her is out there so if she wants to join the forums I'll give her the info she needs to make posts.

Remember, you can use any name in the chat as it is now so if you see a "shania" or "shaniatwain" in there it's likely not her. So, stay tuned and hopefully we'll get a new chat format so everyone will know if she joins the chat.

Keep your fingers crossed and we'll see if she stops by on her time off this year. Take care everybody!

I got an e-mail from Shania. I do not know if it was really her, but she used the Shania.net postcard service. She said that she used an e-mail address of a friend. The address was mfish_22@excite.com. The actual message was in a postcard. She was replying a question that I asked on the board.

Did anyone else get a similar message from the same e-mail address?

I never got an e-mail from Shania.I am not sure if she read this message yet thou.She might reply to it.If I was her i'd prove to everyone that I was who they think I am,not a fake.But its really up to her.What you should do Dushyant is e-mail her back,and ask her questions that she would know.Like somethink about her concert.Thats waht I would do.Its up to you.

Horselover, I cannot e-mail Shania because that was an address of her friend. So her friend would reply and not know what I am talking about!

The old board does not have any of the messages that Shania had. Because after a while they get deleted. If you like I can e-mail you a message she posted on the old board. I just found it in my Temporary Internet Files in Internet Explorer.

Shaniatown and Ville are two of the regulars that come on shania chat... I have know them since I have been there... recently in the chat room there has been some stress and anger amongst the fans (between mainly ville, town, and SebCanada). I dont know exactly what happened but they are angry at each other and I have tried very hard to calm them all down. If any of these people have seen nasty it is just bec they are mad at each other.. believe me they are really nice fans and EXTREMELY LONG TIME FANS! Especially town. But the anger in the chat room is slowy calming down and hopefully everything will get back to normal soon...these are all god people and dedicated fans so I really hope we can all get along in there! http://www.shania.net/shaniaforum/smile.gif

I've been coming to the chatroom for awhile now and I can testify to the fact that Justin is telling the truth concering Shaniville and Shaniatown. They are very devoted fans of Shania and love Shania as much as anyone and they are not out to make Shania look bad in any way. One should not believe everything they hear about another.
It is important to remember that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes and do things we should not do. That being true for us all, it should help us to be a bit more understanding of others. And even if one does hear something that is bad and it is the truth. We should try to be compassionate and understanding about it. I'm Harriet. I'm here to say that Shania does talk in Shania.net. I was lucky enough to experience this amazing thing, and I am almost 100% sure it was her. However, there have been a number of pranksters in this chat room too. Shania entered under the name <Eilleen answers her fans>. It was way too professional to be a prank (I think anyway), and she seemed very friendly and was nice to talk to. She was so sweet. I'll understand if you don't believe me, because it took me a while to believe it myself. Of course, I can't prove it was actually her - you have to trust me. i have no idea if shania has ever been on the chat session.

but, don't forget,,,, there is a 6 to 9 hour time difference between geneva and the us/canada time zones. im just not sure shania would get up at 3 in the morning to watch or participate in the chat. i doubt it.

however, most famous people, even the not-so-famous people, are always interested in what others say about them.

i will bet anything that she does, at least occasionally, go on the web, and see what her fans are thinking and saying, and what they like and dislike about her and her performances. also, im sure her agents, promoters, friends, and relatives also do the same kind of monitoring, and get word back to her.

Animals sure can be unpredictable occasionally. And a soothing voice can have good effect. Have you tried any other technique, eg., like those used by that "Horse Whisperer" person?

My intuition is that animals respond to non verbal cues more than we're aware. The problem is to concentrate on what we're communicating., as well as what else the animal may be responding to.

Whenever we try to learn a new language, of any kind, it's prone to mistakes. Even when we use a familiar language with a new person, with unknown goals or preferences, we can send unintended messages.

One thing that I wonder about sometimes is the fact that we can communicate well enough to train dogs, horses and other animals to do a lot of things, including cooperation. And 99.9% of humans have bigger brains and the capacity for more intelligence than such animals. Yet, we seem unable to train people to do what is in our mutual best interest.

Growing up with farm animals more than with kids my own age, may be part of the reason I frequently interact with animals when I see them. I like to go "huffa huffa huffa, slrrpt slrrpt slrrpt" to dogs and get them to breathe (puff) fast like they just got done running, wag their tail and slurp their tongue back into their mouth, salivating like it's time to eat.

Also have a repertoire of whistled notes and sounds to mimic cardinals, robins, blue jays, sparrows, house finches, gold finches, mourning doves and several others. I probably shouldn't do it so much with birds, because actually I'm usually mimicking the territorial song of the male bird, to get it to sing back at me. Although I enjoy singing back and forth and practicing the notes, they probably don't enjoy the intrusion at all, except when I go away and they feel like they have proven their superiority.

One day my gang of co-workers had a good laugh at my St Francis of Assissi act. I was tweeting at a house finch as I was walking on break near the state government offices where I work. And the finch dived out of a flowering crabapple tree and bombed me, dropping a big, unpleasant dollop right on my head! When I got back I had to have a friend dab the stuff out of my hair with paper napkins, because I couldn't see that spot on my head very well, even with a mirror.

I've mentioned occasionally here in other threads about the effect of music as a language; and the unusual effect that Shania Twain's lyrics, voice and music generate.

If as you say, you're going to be busy and away from this message board for a couple weeks or so, that's fine. I understand busy. I'm lucky to get here on weekends. I hate to neglect other things to spend as much time as I do here. But it is a very enjoyable activity.

Thats cool that you own 7 horses,but its alot of work I bet!I get tired just mucking stalls,helping bring in the horses at my barn,watering them and schooling them.But I'm sure you have help.I just love the nature of the horse,you cant get me away from horses,or stop me from talking about them(lol).
Now when you are by horses,you cant let them scare you,if you do,they sence it then take advantage of you.Then you all of a sudden have a big problem on yoyur hands.Trust me,I've been through that part!Itd not fun when a horse takes advantage of you.If they get crazy,it might mean they have to much energey in them.You should let them scare you thou.It is very cool to have well trained horses.Theres this 3 yr old at my barn,his name is Romeo,and hes a paint.I'm going to be riding/and training him(hopefully).I'm going to ask my trainer if she can teach me how to train a baby.Hes going to be my summer project if my trainer can teach me how to train a horse.The thing with this horse is that he doesn't know any voice cammands,so its going to be a real challange for me,but I think I can handle him.:)

I just had a waking thought about how to facilitate Shania's real presence here.

Remember how her fan club in Timmons got overwhelmed/mobbed with fans out of control, climbing all over each other for Shania's attention?

If we create an effective and fair solution for that problem, it will make it easier for Shania to feel comfortable about contact with her fans through this website.

What about adding, modifying the organization/structure of this website toward that goal?

Sanctuum Sanctorum. Create 2 or 3 levels of forums, with security of access to the inner levels, similar to what you have now for the moderator's forum.

The innermost circle includes the website owner(s)/creator(s), forum moderators, and selected/elected representatives from a few of the most important areas/topics/aspects of this website, plus Shania and/or maybe her designated representative(s).

At/in the next level/circle are the closest selected/elected apostles (someone could suggest a better word than apostle). Members who know the most about Shania, about lyrics, music, are the most dedicated fans, are the most reliable, the most imaginative, resourceful, entertaining and the most supportively helpful to the general membership & fans, or who have the most time. Maybe it would be even beneficial to create separate forums within this level, to focus on specific subjects. I find that about 2 to 7 people is the optimum for constructive work in a personal meeting. More than that just gets distracting and counterproductive. In intermittent collaboration like the internet, probably a larger number of people works best, depending on the format. I've not been on live chat much, but I'd guess that maybe 10-15 members or so could be productive. A forum message board probably can maintain productive focus with more people (20 or more) than a live chat.

Then the third level/circle/forum is the general membership forum. This is where most of our interaction takes place now. At this level, there could be separate categories, such as for lyrics writers, music writers, Shania history/background buffs, TV and concert buffs, Shania trivia buffs, photos, news and/or other different ones. The inside info learned/produced by the apostle level could naturally osmote to members at this level, by access of members to apostles with info on topics of mutual interest. These topics already exist categorized fairly well by the button/bar links at left side on the homepage(s) here.

The fourth level would be for the open public and people not willing to invest the time for membership, but just want to tune in or tie in somehow with Shania's world.

Shania could be free to interact here wherever she wanted. Probably much of her time here could be in contact with the inner circles, sharing info and resources that the key members could then either share in the next level of membership, or maybe work on and develop some and then share. Given her down to earth personality and populist approach, she may want to interact with the general membership intermittently, and maybe even with the general public. This would create and maintain their enthusiasm and probably enlarge the membership and population that we can serve.

A goal here is to create an effective and fair structure that enhances flow of information, resources, feelings etc. in multiple directions (up, down, sideways, in, out, and create/weave a new fabric of value to all of us, etc.) A challenge is to do this in a way that does not create overloads and bottlenecks, which lead to the automatic reaction of excessive restrictions and results in stiffled hopes and wasted enthusiasm.

As an organization development specialist, I am painfully aware that many traditional organizations in government and large business create structures that stifle, not enhance the fair and effective flow of information, resources, development, growth, progress and reward.

Small and startup organizations by contrast, are very creative and stimulating, but are inadequately organized to match resources to customer needs. So overloads, bottlenecks and gaps in resources and customers are the main problems.

The internet provides great opportunity for better outcomes of human endeavor. And this forum in particular, has the makings of a recipe for uniquely and dramatically developing wonderful new opportunities and outcomes.
