Ok, here is the question! We all know that Shania is supposed to put another cd. I've heard that it's gonna be out the last of November, but I wish she could put out one before that... But anyway, the question is, if you had your choice, what type of music or what type of songs would you like Shania to put on the cd and why?
Personally, I would love her to do another country album, because I love country music and also, it seems to place Shania on a more personal level with all her fans... It's more like she entertaining friends when she does country. It's more comfortable...

It would be great if Shania made another country album. That way, it'll show people that she hasn't forgotten about the genre that made her famous. But I don't think that's a reality because I figure that she will want to keep her pop fans, so she can't make a completely country album. I hope the next album will be more pop/country than pop/rock though. But I hope she doesn't make another album like "Come on Over," but rather make something like "The Woman in Me." That was a great album.
Having been exposed mainly to pop/rock for most of the time because my country isn't big on country music (i'm from India), I guess I would classify as one of Shania's "pop fans" cause this is the market that she's catering to with her re-done albums. But somehow, when I listen to "The Woman In Me" it just feels like it's more Shania...it reflects more of her fun, incredible attitude. Don't get me wrong, I love Come On Over too, but somehow The Woman In Me was extra-special...dunno why.
Also some of the songs from COO (US version) were so much more fun being country than when they were pop-ified. hehehe!
I don't think it's about country or pop, I just hope that she stays true to herself and doesn't try and write a certain way cause she thinks that's what us pop fans want. All we want is 100% Shania. Good enough, no matter what genre she chooses to market it in.

I totally agree with you. Shania should be true to herself, and produce whatever type of music is "her". Yes, The Woman in Me seems more of a reflection of Shania's music. And I love COO too. I hope she makes a pop/country album rather than a pop/rock, country/rock or just country album. I like pop/country music.
