matt, justin, longshot, or armando: Is there a need for this fourm???? it's like noone ever posts anything here. Why don't you make a fourm about meeting with shania experinces. or a fourm just for rumors about her next album???

Those are two good ideas. We are still seeing which forums are used and obviously this is not a very popular forum. We just switched the News forum to Hot Topics because people as we have seen like the hot topics postings. Next we will look at this one and see what we can do to get more people to use all the forums. Thanks for the ideas

As I wrote before the activity on the off-Shania forums is extremely poor compared to the one in the main forum. I for one feel frustrated every once in a while to see there have been some new posts on some of the secondary forums and go there just to see that new topic. I feel that with this low rate of activity we could very well put all these topics on the open forum. There is no point in having about 5 forums with one or maximum 2 active topics in a period of days. It’s also my opinion the rate of reading on these forums is significantly lower than on the main one. For example this topic was posted on September 16, but has been read only 31 times. On the main forum a topic is being read 31 times in a few hours. So if all of these topics would be on one forum, the open forum, all about the chat, merchandise, Vietnam, music, etc., there would be only 2 active forums, but the activity rate of the open forum will increase, so will the audience and subsequently the diversity of topics and opinions. What is happening right now it is unnatural, in my opinion. Putting them all together would also ease the access of readers. If you know that going to a certain link you can discover many new potential things, that will make it attractive and give you the impulse to try go there. If, on the contrary, you see that there are only one or two new posts on a forum, you might decide to pass it, thinking it’s not worth spending time, especially if you are busy or in a hurry.
And there is another thing. Usually a topic starts about a certain subject, but as posts increase it tends to deviate from that subject. For example in the topic about Manu and Carol meeting Shania on a certain point we started talking about the history and the society in Switzerland, even about guns, which was a extremely off-topic. I personally would have been quite mad if someone would have tried to end that off-topic conversation someway just because it was off-topic. Think about trying to make RJ stick to a topic! That’s utopia! lol It’s natural and exciting to see conversations deviate. So why have so many forums about topics closely related. Take the music forum for example. There is a tone of posts on the main forum that would fit better the music forum, but they are still on the main forum. That makes the music forum somehow obsolete.
So what do you think about having practically two big forums: the main forum and the open one? That could be a temporary solution, just to get people going a little bit off the main forum, too.

Justin, is there something wrong with your mail? I’ve sent you mails 3 times in the last couple of days and each time they were returned. It could be an intermediary server, I’m not sure. Do you have another address?

I think you have a point here. This Music Forum is rarely used as people tend to use the Chat forums to talk about things not relating to Shania. I`ve also been thinking that it may be a good idea to merge the Open Forum and Chat Forum into one, which anyone can then use just for general chat.

I agree with Londo.
I find it time consuming going from forum type to forum type. Most of the time I just don't bother goin' to the other forums.
Cutting it down to two forums sounds good, if anything the different topics within a forum give enough seperation and direction.

I'm sorry, but I have never even been here before, lol. I go to the Main Shania Forum lots of times every day. But the others, maybe once a month. I am not sure how you could get people interested in the other forums.
