Their sound is (or used to be) a mix of pop/rock/Irish/celtic/traditional sound. They have violins, tin whistles and bodhrans, but also guitars, drums and piano.

I don't think it compares to anyone... they are unique!!! *lol* Okay, lately they have used some "tricks" to break the American market, they are more pop- and charts-oriented now, some like that and some don't... http://www.shania.net/shaniaforum/smile.gif

If you're more interested in pop, you should probably get "In Blue", but if you like the Irish and traditional stuff, get "Forgiven, not forgotten" or "Unplugged"!!! "Talk on corners" is somewhere in between. It's great and my favorite song is on TOC!!!

Don't get me started with The Corrs, I might not be able to stop! *lol*

I got the cd last Summer while I lived in England and have really liked it ever since. I heard the song Breathless a thousand times and liked it every time so I'd have to say that is my favorite.
