Grammy Nominations

I don't think Shania was nominated for any grammys, I looked and couldn't find any. What are you views on this. I must say the academy did do some weird nominations this year. Radiohead's "Kid A" for album of the year?? Paul Simon was even nominated! The boybands did not fair well this year at all! Now if shania'a album doesn't come out untill after September 30 this year that means at least the writing end of it that she will be absent from the grammys untill the show in 2003! Well, i hope she releases it sooner, because she'd have a pretty good shot at #1.

Well, I was not expecting her to get any nominations...she has not done anything in the past year( for the public)
Her album should be out before september 30, so she should be nominated for the 2002 Grammys.

Nothing ben, i bought Paul's new cd, and it's good. I mean i like there music. More when he sole now, than when he was Simon and Garfunkel but, i don't know. They record sales wern't to awesome, and the public reception wasn't that good in the us due to his failing broadway show and all. And for Radiohead, I can see why they were nominated, because it was there first #1 Album of their carreers. See what they bad thing is. The albums that I wanted to be nominated came out after that. u2's album "All That You Can't Leave Behind" in my opinion is great. My favourite song is "New York". This is the type of album I was expecting to be nominated. Even Enya's new one had a chance. I'm happy that Paul, and Radiohead were nominated. But, if the only artist that's really popular on that nominees list is Eminem, than that's pretty sad. I think I will start a topic about him in the open forum, and see what you guys think of him.

Acctually, Eminem got 4. Dre and Beyonce got 5 nominations

Didn't he mention the Grammys in one of his songs? I think it's wierd,the artist with the most nominations is the one that made fun of the awards. http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif He deserves them.

As for Shania, all I have to say is, You can't win them all.
Next year she will though! I'm psychic, so I know.

The corrs are up for 2. Best Vocal Performance, and best Instrumental. You can refer to my topic "A Grammy Nomination" for more details on the corrs end of it. It is in the Corrs Corner Section. As For eminem, yes he did make fun of them. He said You think I give a *beep* about a grammy? Half of you critics can't even stomach me let alone stand me. I don't think eminem should get any nominations

i belive the academy want the winner of best country female will be "F" this year,cause i´m sure if shania were nominated she would be the winner(do you remember last year when "F" sang and the winner was SHANIA.

Sorry manu! I was in a terrible mood last night!!! I edited the post. Anyways, like I said on another post, i got the AustralAsian version of UNPLUGGED from the Corrs. I really like it. They do a bang up job. I didn't really realize it was so recent. One question though, was Somebody for Someone suppost to be on the cd? It isn't on mine. So if it's suppost to be, just tell me and I'll buy another version.

No, "somebody for someone" was not supposed to be on the Unplugged album, they didn't even play it at Unplugged. The only songs that are now on IB they played were "radio" and "at your side". You don't have to buy another version! http://www.shaniaforums.com/wink.gif
