You can't put Shania in the same boat as Britney and Christina. Shania is WAY too good to even be mentioned in the same sentence so I don't know why you're surprised.
Plus, Eminem only doesn't like those teenie bopper artists who don't like him.

I agree that Shania cannot be put in the same boat as BS and CA. However it is not important what we think, but what Eminem thinks, since he’s the one who could make the move. I think he has picked the two girls to pick on for some reasons. First of all they rose to fame in the same period as he has, so he might feel they are in some kind of a drag race, starting together and seeing who gets further away. Second, and probably the most important one, is that Shania right now has a well established place in the music business. There is no controversy about Shania’s music, about her abilities, compared to the 2 teens. There is of course Shania’s personality playing a role here, since she has never said anything against other artists, so he may not have a reason to pick on her. If he would, a lot of people who know Shania and don’t dislike Eminem would lose any respect they had for him. There is of course the character of the teens, their image, their music, their fan base, all things that attract controversy. And Eminem and controversy are like crocodile and water.

I’m curious to know if he has made comments regarding Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston or any other well established artists. I never heard of any, but I don’t live in America. It would be interesting to see what he does when Shania’s album will come out and she would be back in the spotlight enjoying tremendous success. But I don’t think he would say anything.

There is the possibility for him to pick on Shania on a bad hair day and thanks to an insistent reporter, but if there is no offensive remark from Shania against him, I don’t think he would say anything at his own initiative. Maybe against country music, that wouldn’t be surprising, but not against Shania. Have I repeated myself long enough? lol

Although I do not agree with Eminem's opinions on gays and lesbians, Eminem was not nominated for his contraversal lyrics. He was nominated for his artistic ability as a songwriter and rapper.
I mean, I can look at Michealangalo's "David" statue and say it is a masterpiece and a brilliant work of art. But on the other hand, I don't like staring at nude men. I don't know if you understand me, but that's how I look at it.

I agree Nate! As someone who likes other women (well one http://www.shaniaforums.com/smile.gif ) I am not offended by his comments. He's a born comedian, and although a little crude he's no worse than alot of stand up comics I've heard! If we can't laugh at ourselves we gaurantee that others will!
