I just use Paint for my avatars. It should be on your computer and it's free to use.
ok thanks, how do you make them move though?

Okay, what you need to download is Jasc Animation Shop 3. Its free for 60 days. After the 60 days are up, before you open up the program, just change the date on your computer and you can have the software for free forever! lol. Then I suggest downloading Adobe Photoshop 7. Its a niftly little program that not only makes cropping a picture to the right size of 64x64 pixels easy, but you can use other tools on there to make awesome wallpapers! It is also free. I downloaded these programs from KaZaA. So find pictures you want to be made into an avatar, then crop them to 64x64 pixels, then use Jasc Animation Shop to do the animating. If you need further help using Jasc, just PM me or ask around. Practically everyone uses that program. Jasc also has a cropping tool, but its a little weird. Good luck Matty!
 Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think FinnFreak is a little paranoid (not being sarcastic or mean, just trying to lighten up the mood)

BTW you can crop and resize with jasc!
just open the video, select the crop thing, draw a box with it with EQUAL pixels on each side, once the box is there you can move it around to get it in the right position and make sure you have all the picture that you want in the animation frames then click on "crop"!
after that just click on one of the buttons at the top and find something called "resize animation" go into it an put in 64 x 64 then your done! ;)

I did mention that "Jasc also has a cropping tool, but its a little weird" lol. I still find it confusing for some reason though.

My problem is, that you are publicly giving instructions on how to illegally gain access to software and confessing to have done so yourself making multiple violations on copyright laws and license agreements...
I suggest you do not continue with this - or anyone else, for that matter...

Paranoid..? Being worried about what kind of stuff is posted in these Forums is what I'm supposed to do..!
I work in the software producing industry & we get plenty of information from the BSA (http://www.bsa.org) (Business Software Alliance) on what is being done about piracy and copyright issues... the focus is mainly on illegal business use, but they are known to sometimes press charges against home users/students as well...
so, instead of being paranoid, I'm trying to give you some friendly advice: please, stop - but if you must, keep it private.
