okay so at the convention liek what all is tehre to do? i read the stuff but i dont get it. if its a shania convention wut r all those things on the list at the website? can anyone help me...explain? please!:rolleyes:

There are events that take place so that Shania fans from all over the world can meet!

A fan convention is exactly like it sounds. It's a chance for fans who have similar interests to get together and talk, laugh and discuss over a few days.

Tracy and the committee try to come up with activities that relate to Shania and her upbringing.

For instance the Millson Forestry tour is significant because Shania planted trees as a summer job.

The trivia contest is held at Shania's high school.

But the main reason is just to get together, make new friends and talk about your passion for Shania.

I'm sure those who were there last year will pipe in and share their thoughts.

Your attendance to the convention will obviously include visits to the STC and exclusive access to staff at the STC who set-up exhibits and work closely with all aspects of running the STC.

Last year, participants had a close "behind the scenes" look at how exhibits were put together.

How can you explain something that is priceless, timeless and so highly addictive that you have to return at least once a year, or even twice if you can afford it?

Or better still http://www.shaniatwain.org/mb and the Timmins section there and search for Fan Convention 2003 threads where you will understand what it is all about.

If you only want to go if Shania is going, so you can pester her for the duration then forget it.

If you want to meet fellow fans and learn about Eilleen Twain, meet her boyfriend(s) go sit in her class at school, plant trees up country, shop in her local store and meet the people of Timmins who shaped Eilleen Twain into Shania, visit the Shania Twain Suite in the Day's Inn then I guess you really do get it.

Just to visit the Shania Twain Centre in it's self is a good enough reason to go, and if you don't belive me then ask the 39 others who attended the very first fan convention last year.

No not a stupid question at all from one so young. I am really pleased that you have at least got a Mum who will consider taking the trip. Tell her she will have loads of fun too as Shania fans come in all ages from all sorts of backgrounds.

As individuals Shania's fans are amazing, as a collective group they are AWESOME! Watch out Timmins, we're a coming.... :D
