I've mentioned before about the Australian guy who sold his house to be able to attend a fan convention in the UK..? - to many of my friends who aren't fans, or aren't into music, or just don't seek for adventurous experiences during their holidays... they look at us like we are completely nuts... but when I get into my storytelling mode & throw them a few interesting examples of where we've been to... and what we've seen... they finally get it... and there's envy in their eyes...

How True my dear Marika, I suspect the Shania Twain Centre will be emailing all the Mods and requesting they 'make it so' anyway as the boards and Forum message boards are the largest Shania Sites in the Western World and reach the most number of guests as well.
Often the Guests outnumber the members by more than 2 to 1 on both sites.
On the Fan thing, I never thought I would become a Shania Fan and some think I am some sort of perveted 'Shania Stalker' or something like that, but as I proved to the crowd at the Globe Tavern in Port Stanley, Falkland Islands - I am just a Guy who likes having fun dancing and singing, swaying and having the time of my life with fellow Shania fans to her music, Shania and Mutts music, which I think so absolutley hits the spot with me.
I go to Timmins NOT to meet Shania, but to enjoy the company of some of the best fans in the World ever and spread the word about the nice people who are living in Shania's former home town.
If the worlds press can't get a handle on that, may I suggest they hire me to revue all Shania's concerts as I will talk about the FUN and JOY not about the negative things they seem to love to print in an attempt to run down Shania's music and her fans.
Though I have yet to see a single concert in the official UP! tour I have read your posts and I know this has been the best tour ever, Shania has stood her ground and despite the press getting upset at all the fuss she makes over us, she still sings and signs and gives high fives to all who can catch her eye.
Shania is all about Love, she believes that Love makes the World go round and has said that on stage. Only people who have never been in Love don't get it. Most of us have been or are in Love and Shania can do no wrong. Any Girl that I have been in Love with is more beutiful than Shania, more special than anything else in life I can think off. I am in love right now, with a girl who was born and bred in Timmins.
Now if that is NOT an example of how Shania is a force for good, I will give up - for I went to Timmins to see what made Shania who she is today, I get it - anyone who goes to Timmins and stays for a week or so will get it too.
If you want golden beaches, and snow covered mountains don't go to Timmins. If you want to meet real people, hard working people with tales to tell you and time to spend with you - people who will affect the way you behave as a tourist forever - PLEASE go to the 2004 Fan Convention. Listen to there story, learn from everything you see and hear.. You will get it, everyone at Fan Con 2003 did and this year will be even better. Life's too short, so better start living it... Thank you FinFreak for that timely reminder.
IF I was to meet Shania one to one at an official concert I would tell her, and tell her band too, that this current tour has blown us all away, exceeded our wildest dreams, brought pleasure and joy to hundreds of thousands of people, in dozens of countries, as I think they all deserve some praise from us all and it is our duty, given the rare chance to say that in a very public way live on stage.
I hope I can find the courage and the words should I be the one to get that chance in Grand Rapids this May. If I don't I will not be upset as some Shania Fan somewhere will say the words for me.
Let the world's press chew on that for a bit. I don't think they know about love, just jealousy and hatred. I am very proud to be a Shania Twain fan and to be friends with you.
