Less than 4 months to go and still plenty of preparation to do.

Get your dancing shoes ready.

Warm up your karaoke voices.

Start practicing your golf skills.

Start memorizing your trivia answers.

Soon enough, you`ll all be visiting us in Warm (?) and Sunny Timmins.

Looking forward to it.

Ren

Dancing? Well, I love to dance but my wife refuses to go to the fan con with me so watch out ladies! I will be picking on you!!

Karaoke? Um, better tell people to wear ear plugs if I try that!

Golf? Haven't played in a dozen years and I wasn't much good then. How about a separate category for hopeless duffers?

Trivia? Okaaaayy. Ren, the trivia contest was definitely one of the highlights last year but how about restructuring it so it is a test of Shania knowledge alone and not also a test of speed? I knew most of the answers last year but am not capable of coming up with answers in a microsecond. And I'll tell you, this does not get better as the years go by! I have an idea or two on this if you are interested.

Warm! WARM!! WARM!!! Jack and Debbie come from where it is 110F at that time of year. Now that is warm. But, Ren, plus 5C with the snow in the air is not warm for most of us more southern types. Okay, okay, so July 1 of 2001 was an exception. I will just settle for no rain and be quite happy. In any case, the warmth of your welcome more than makes up for any weather deficiencies.

Shania fans never believe me when I tell them that it's normally nice in July. Go figure. The weather at the past 2 large STC events was quite miserable.

But remember Murphy's law. If you all show up with Parka's, I guarantee it will be 80-90 degrees. Shorts and sandals weather.

So, Ren, what is the answer to my questions?

In the golf tournament, are we going to be divided up so hopeless duffers like me won't hold better players up and feel stupid?

Are you going to organize the trivia contest the same way as last year?

The golf tourney will be organized with everyone in mind. Frank is taking care of this and I have no doubt it will be perfect. It will appeal to golfers and non-golfers alike.

The trivia contest will be similar, but questions will be different. Feel free to forward your ideas by private message as nothing is carved in stone. We're always looking to improve on the format.

Great! I was going to suggest private communication. If you do make changes, you may not want to give the game away in advance.

I spent some time at the STC today helping Tracy with some new exhibits. Well actually... Tracy worked from atop the scaffolding while I stood on solid ground and critiqued. I should add that Tracy is afraid of heights which really makes this a lot of fun for me.

There are some big changes in store. You will surely all be amazed at all the changes that will have occured by the time you come back here for the convention.

It was great before, but it will be even better now!
