Forums Going Downhill From Now

I'm sorry to say, but with recent posts, everyone is hating eachother and there are a lot of people leaving! This place used to be a fun and happy place where people shared there thoughts and opinions without riots, and now with some new people, I won't say who, we are all yelling and screaming at eachother. Come on! We can't do this! We are all a big family. Don't listen to the people who try to make us hate eachother! Please, we all need to just try to get along.

I agree. I just spent the last few minutes reading the posts from yesterday and today. I felt like I was in The Twilight Zone. Of all the bizarre comments, that one about Shania not being a real Canadian has to be the dumbest one yet ...

Andrew, I agree with you. These forums are not going smoothly like they were. Most of these posts here now are attacking and going at each others' throats. This forum is about SHANIA TWAIN and ONLY POSITIVE comments and posts about her!!! That post about her not being proud to be Canadian is total bull crap and that she sells her body for record sales is also bull crap! People I have this one thing to say to you. If you are not a TRUE fan of Shania's then simply LEAVE!!! Do that, so we can all get back to praising and supporting OUR Shania. Think about it, if Shania looked at these posts now, she would be very hurt. Thanks for letting me share my opinion. I hope this forum goes back the way it WAS before all these jerks and perverts came here to stir up trouble. I'm Outta Here!

It takes just one person to start problems on these forums.But like Slope said"STOP REPLYING TO THEM".We are feeding them by replying whenever they say something.And that is exactly what they want.So don't reply to them,and they will dissapeare like snow for the sun.

Guys,

I'm tired of all the arguing,The people who stir up trobble are in some cases fans of Shania, they have their own opinons that we just don't agree with. Thats ok. But some trobble makers are here to make life differcult for us.

A mounh ago I felt the Forums where perfect, I felt really at home here. But now I feel a outsider again, my opinons no longer valid to most because they are better than me and the majorty of the forums. I'm not talking about the people who post alot, but the people who are ether on here to cause trobble or in at lest one case I feel uncofferble reading thier posts.

Now I'm a huge Shania fan, well you know that, and I do get upset by the way shes treated by some people, Its becoming harder and harder for me.

At the momment I have alot of personal problems (Bullying again). And this used to be a place I like to go to. Like a safe haven really. But now I feel like there is noware where I can talk about Shania in a respectful way. Thats all Shania deserves, respect. And she is'nt getting it.

Now I'm woundering if I should go and leave, but for the momment I still hang on to the belive that the forums can be good again. Ive made friends here, I dont want to lose them.

Shania is specail to me. I will love her no matter what. But the trobble makers must understand that this is a place for people like me to disscuss Shania in a respectful manner.

Well put everyone. When I first joined the forums, at the beginning of 2000, they were great. Everyday I couldn't wait to come read some of the great posts that people put up. Now there are a lot of dumb posts, that put down Shania. This is a shania forum, so why are people putting her down!?!? I think this needs to stop, and we need to get ALL positive posts in here!

The reason this has been happening is fairly obvious. With little news about Shania coming out there has been not much to talk about and all we can do is create posts that we feel strongly about. Whenever anyone argues something you feel strongly about it gets a little rough and of course a strong debate will occur. Now please we are all people that have known each other and interacted with each other for quite some time so let's be respectful of each other even if we do disagree. The last thing in the world I want is for this forum to go downhill and for good true fans to leave. Keep things under control.

Good point, with no new recordings, and Shania not touring, there is little real news to discuss. The more widespread we are in our lifestyles and opinions, the more it shows that Shania appeals to a wide audience, differing opinions dont bother me a bit, and are a credit to Shania.

I agree whole heartedly. If we all try we can make this a happy place again. I think it's worth it. Justin makes a good point about having only the things we feel strongly about to talk about. The new album should help. But, let's not kid ourselves, with the increase in fans there will be an increase in trouble makers as well. We have our work cut out for us, but atleast we'll be working together. My biggest concern is the really offensive posts as one person has been putting up over the last few days. Matt and the Moderators are so busy now that it takes days to get such offensive material off, what happens when the increased membership brings in more like that, and logic suggests it will, cause the bigger the pot, the more people want to stir it. This site could end up looking more like a porn site than a fan site. I hope when and if that time comes that you moderators consider Londo's suggestion, because Murphy's Law suggests that when the site is at it's lowest point Shania will visit.
