Hotels

Anyone who has been to Timmins or lives in the area.... what are the best/nicest hotels in the area? I may be able to hop a plane for the weekend depending on how much time I have with school, and my mom and I were wondering about the nicest hotels within about 30 minutes (no later than an hour) from the center. We tried searching online and didn't come up with much, so I thought I'd ask you guys for some help. Thanks bunches! :)

Hi Angie,

Ren here from the STC.

Most fans will probably be staying at the DAys Inn. it`s just off downtown and a 5 minute ride to the center. Thsi seems to be where most fans are staying**. The SUnday breakast will be held here.

Closer to the center you have the Bon Air Motel. it is well within walking distance of the STC and seconds from many restaurants and fast food.

Also in town, we have a Super 8 motel, a Travelodge, a Comfort Inn which are all quite near. None of these are more than 7 or 8 minutes from the STC.

I don`t have time to look up all the numbers for you now, but if you go to http://www.canada411.com and do a search in the business section, you`ll be able to pull all of these UP!. Best to call the local number than the 1-800 number. That way you`ll get some friendly locals who will do their best to accomodate you.

Thanks so much! I am crossing my fingers that I can go! I have school on the 6th, so I am hoping to fly down Friday night and leave Sunday night.

The one thing to keep in mind if you are attending the convention is that we will have a shuttle available to pick you up at your hotels and bring you to all events so once you arrive at the centre and register we will put you on the shuttle list.

You should also be able to find accomodations listings at www.timmins.ca
