Hopes and Dreams for 2005??? [Archive]

As we approach the dawn of a New Year, what are everybodys hopes and dreams for 2005?

All in all, 2004 has been a pretty bad year for me!! Obviously the birth of my beautiful daughter was incredibly special, as was meeting and talking to Shania a few times but so many other things happened that have made this year pretty rotten!!!

My hopes for this new year are that Bronwyn makes it through her surgery ok and goes on to be happy and healthy, that me and Del can sort things out and get back together as i miss him more and more with each passing day he's not here and that i get to see my closest friends more often as they had to move away and i really miss them.

My dreams for 2005 are pretty simple really...... I would love to see Shania again in some capacity, although nothing can beat the 13 concerts i attended this year, I want to go up in a hot air balloon as it's something i've always wanted to do and this is the year and the big dream is to make it to Canada, although it may be pushing it a bit to get there in 2005.

Anyway, whatever 2005 brings to you all, i wish everybody a very happy and healthy 2005 and may all your dreams come true x x

As for myself, I want to do well in school, and continue on with life having my friends and family with me..My goal is to stop drinking soda. :D

I hope I can go farther in "Animal World" and go to school at local technical college. So I can study "Medical Assistance" and become "Veterinarian Assistant."

Keep up my good work at my job as full time employee and put small amount of dog fights.

Save enough money for me to go to Timmins so I can get out of Midwest and the country! For different scenery.

Keep my driving record clean so my insurance rates can decrease even more than standard "21 year old" discount after your 21st B-Day.

Be careful!!! I remember when I stopped for a month and couldn't take it anymore. My first sip of my first can...completely burned my mouth from acids. But it was well tasted! :funny:

Well my Internship will start tomorrow, I know I'm gonna be busy, it will be hard, just read my signature :p But I'm not asking, I'm just asking for having a great year, and I hope to learn lots of stuff during my Internship, and I'd become a doc for year 2006, it hasn't been so busy, but I'm happy 'cause I love what I'm doing, and I love helping people. I also ask for health, lots of love from my wife, and I think that's all I need. If something more comes, I'd be happy, but this ain't my will, this is God's will. And of course I'd love if more help could be sent there in Asia, they need it so badly. And I hope the Lord helps those people to find solace in such an awful situation :sad:

I hope I'll graduate (FINALLY) in 2005...

I hope that the people in Holland will stay sain and free from terrorism...

Just a better year than this mostly rotten year :) Appart from all the Shania hapiness of course :D

I hope that 2005 will bring the world more joy and happyness than it did this year. I hope that all the people I love and care for will be healthy an happy in the 2005. I wish to do good in school and i wish to keep working on my career in singing and i wish for to be able to do some demo tapes to send this year. But most of all I wish that all the people in the world that are sick will get better, and I wish for the the people who havent found their loved ones after the earth-quake in indonasia will find their people. And I truly hope for a paeceful year for the whole world without any massive tragedies.

My dream is that 2004 never happens again..............I guess , I will get my wish..............2004 was just TERRIBLE , but it was the love of some GREAT people/music , that made it all worth while.

I wish that ALL of my friends have a better time in 2005 and that the WORLD reliezes that we are all in allot of trouble, WORLD WIDE. So much DEATH, so much greed.

We ALL need to change.

BUT LETS PARTY TONIGHT , all of those who still can.

I'll be graduating from my high school finally this spring, and I might go to Macomb Community College and study creative writing or journalism, but I'm not sure yet! I also want to get over a guy I've had a major crush on. For more explanation, read my journal lol!

2004 without doubt has been the worse year I've ever known.......and it seems to be like that for so many people I know. And now with natural disaster in Asia, it totally sums the year up. Unbelieveable, I can't wait to see the back of it.

There's been some good things, going to uni to do what I wanted to do my whole life, making lots of new friends and of course the Shania tour - thanks Shania for giving me something to help me through the hard times. I'm sure so many other people think the same, it's reason enough to do what you do helping people through inspirataion.

2005 will be here in a few hours, I can't wait, next year will be so much better - sadly it will be without some people I've grown up with and loved my whole life. You have to go on and make some new happy memories!

Best wishes to all on the forums for 2005!

2004 goes down as one of the most rotten ones ever, after 2000 this year was the worst for me. So hoping 2005 will be better isn't too much to hope for, I guess.

I wish everyone a better year than this past was, regardless how good or bad it was, we all seem to have periods when sad and bad things happen, fortunately they are usually followed by better times, and that's what I wish for everyone.

I dont have any big wishes really i just hope i can continue to get better on guitar and understand music theory better. Also be cool if i can just continue to breeze through college as i dont have any real interest in what im doing there :smirk:

Awww Beckie, your little girl is just adorable :D

I guess for me the most important thing I want to accomplish in 2005 is to go back to school as well as move from Canada to the US with my boyfriend. He lives in San Diego. So, I want to get all the government stuff cleared up so I can do that. I also want to get my divorce finalized and get that huge monkey off my back. I can't wait to live in the States and be with my wonderful Shonkie. I hope we have less terrorism and less greed in the world in the new year too but I doubt that will happen....one can hope right?

Anyhow, have a great New Year everyone and be safe and arrive alive :)

My goals for 2005 are just to have it be a better year than 2004...2004 was a pretty rotten year for me. Also to have everyone stay healthy and happy. :) And to stop eating so much chocolate/sweets...:uhh: lol I know its gonna be hard, but I'm gonna try :D

Hmmmm..... 2004 wasn't such a great year for me either. :smirk: But I guess, looking back, it wasn't all bad. Cesdra's visit to Canada was definitely a bright spot! :)
My dream for 2005 is to finish my Secret Agent Story and get it ready for publishing. :D Also to get a new job that pays well & doesn't involve working midnights anymore. :uhh: :p

2004 wasn't a great year for me either :( I have never dealt with so much crap from people ever! There were many other negatives, but there were several positives. I saw Shania in concert (met many of her band members and such), made tones of new friends at my new school - including a guy I absolutely adore, which brings me to my hopes and dreams for 2005. He's deaf, but with his hearing aids he can hear just fine - people don't talk to him much though cuz in their eyes, he's different. But I don't really look on the outside. Over the past few months, I have gotten to know him so well. I have never been this obsessed over a guy before...I have had crushes, but this is completely different. He's so nice and caring (if I am sick and miss a day of school, the next day he asks me if I need his help to catch up), he's totally hilarious. We flirt like everyday in class and we have so much in common that it's actually kinda scarey, but we are both shy so I am hoping one of us will get the courage to ask the other out lol. I wouldn't care if he was missing a leg or an arm, I still adore him for who he is and I am hoping one day I can tell him that (or something lol) and although I dont really care about the outside, he's a total hottie!
Anyway, my major hope for this year is that my mom gets better so she can get back to work doing the stuff she loves. She's so sick right (not a cold) now and I worry more and more each day about her. I am hoping somehow we can get the money for her medicine so she will survive. Winning the lottery would be nice...lol

Well..... My hopes for 2005 are looking good so far.... Del is home :D and things between us are going really well...... We're going to make it, i really think we'll be ok... and the thing that made the difference was me playing Don't onto his answerphone!!!! So thank you Shania..... You've saved our marriage :kiss:

And Thanks for the info Beckie :) I really do like this guy a lot, but I am just so shy and besides, I think I am screwed. Well, I was really thinking about it, and I was going REALLY going to ask him out, but that same day I thought about it, I found out that he has a gf :sad: However, from the sounds of it, he isn't happy with her because he told me "she's boring and doesn't do anything fun". So now, until he tells me he dumped her, I am screwed :cry:

It is rather nice to have him as a close friend, but I know we'd have so much fun together if we went out, and also I'd be able to get know him better. Since he has a gf, we can't go to the movies, or go sky diving or other fun things like that. If I get to know his girlfriend, maybe we could all hang out together,...but that wouldn't be as fun. If all else fails, he is a triplet and his other 2 brothers look just like him and are all interested in the same things :p

Anyways... communication... I recommend talking to him, you might get hurt, if things don't go your way, but if you take a chance, you might succeed. It's totally up to you what you are willing to risk though.
