 ...they work, but their script says by default they don't...
Those unable to view, use this link (http://www.cmt.com/global/apps/mediaplayer/asxmaker.jhtml?clipids=1689859) to a standalone Media Player streaming file from their site.
Just copy the link and paste into the Open URL... of WMP 9.0.0 (3307) for Mac OS X...
...happy viewing..!

Well, if Shania uses them then they can't be...all...THAT...bad... :uhh:
...unless maybe Shania is stuck and calling Mutt or Cory over with her mic to come and help her recover from a "blue screen of death"! :p

Due to the advanced protected memory in the UNIX kernel (http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/unix/), Macs don't have a "blue screen of death"... that's a phenomena common from the Windoze world...
Macs are widely used in recording studios and concerts - because of the system performance and reliability.

One of the many attractions :)
I really hate windows and microsoft now, any company that gives you software thats meant to help your computer and then deletes all your stuff and lets looooaaaaaads of spyware, adware etc on to your comp is wrong!
..........Also PC's look horrible :funny:
(waited ages to say this lol)
*pats mac on the back* :]

I dunno....Windows just seems a more practical choice, and it has the best compatability!
As for Spyware and Adware, if you know how to keep your computer clean then it isn't a problem.
Also always remember to use a non crappy browser (DON'T use regular IE, it is full of security holes anyway, use Firefox or Oprah!) using Firefox even blocks pop-up ads! :)
I could bet that 90% of Adware or Spyware complaints come from people who are using IE!
I run Adaware SE about once a month and all I ever get are about 10 or so useless tracking cookies, that is how clean my comp is! ;)
I'll be honest though, I have never used a MAC so I don't really know if they are good or bad but Windows doesn't suck if you know how to use it properly! ;)
...Although I do agree that M$ are a money hungry corporation! :p

...it's not about the knowledge on how to use the system, but the awareness of the system's shortcomings and vulnerabilities...
Having been an Information Technology consultant since 1989... I've dealt with different platforms and built systems mainly on Windoze, because that's what the clients want - I however have ALWAYS offered possible alternatives, and stressed the pros and cons of the decisions - I have yet to receive ANY complaints on systems running Mac OS X... a happy customer is a returning customer...

Here's a thought? I had Mac laptop (iBook) last year, never had problems except my screen went fuzzy ONE TIME! This year I have PC laptop (Gateway). I have bootup problems, I can't secure screen shut cause of spring that hold my latch broke off,
some programs won't completely uninstall, wireless card won't work in certain areas of signal area.
If I wasn't stuck in house network with PCs, I would be spending that extra 800.00 for Powerbook when I go shopping for my very own laptop.

Im finding my mac alot easier to use than a PC yeah its weird at 1st but thats cause its different...not harder to use.
All the internet stuff you've listed is in my mac all ready (not the same obviously but it does what yours does) i didnt need to go find and download anything, i simply DO NOT have to worry about anything, Window users do. Im willing to go through this wierd patch of getting used to the mac because i have peace of mind, thats whats important.
O yeah my mac is alot more attractive than a PC ;)
Microsoft are getting worse, the rumour is they're making 3 different kinds of xbox 2, a console version without a harddrive, one with a harddrive and a PC xbox that does everything a PC does but plays xbox games:rolleyes: So aswell as scamming you out of money with comps they'll now do it with games machines.
By the way I for someone who said pc internet has pop up blockers so does mac with Safari. I love my Imac it is attrative and I love the little bubble like speakers and the hard drive is hidden beautifuly with a dome like struture then u have the lcd screen that is easy to move about. I absoluly love the new G5's that is like a cousin to this one but improved with no anything where did it all go lol that was a smart idea. when I graduate next year I definatly want a Mac to take with me to college. By the way the Mac computer don't get viruses as bad as PC they are a pretty good defense. I can say the only thing I don't like is the fact that I can't get the games at walmart etc and it is a hour drive about where I live to get to the Mac store. I wish mac could make a merge with pc on that issue it is a pain to not be able to just go to walmart. All in all macs are great and easy once you have them their easy to use.
I miss my old Mac. :( I had it for 6 years... and didn't have many troubles at all with it.... then I got my first windows computer and started having trouble from the first time I booted it! That computer lasted 2 years.... and then I got this windows computer which isn't bad... but I still miss my Mac. I've always wanted an iMac. :( :p

When you do go shopping for Mac for school. Believe it or not but Apple.com offers discounts for college students. Doesn't matter if you're attenting a 4-year, community college, technical college..they will still give you $400.00 or more off for any type of desktop or laptop. I'm not 100% sure how you give them the proof you're attenting that school to get the discount.

umm... I've had a OrangeMicro Pentium PCI card, which enables native Windows/Linux without emulation... I don't know if they still make them... also, a few years back I had this really inexpensive software which enabled me to run PlayStation games on my PowerBook... can't remember the name though... I'll have to get back to you on that one...
You can do many tricks with a Mac, but Apple isn't that supportive with the idea of merging with a PC, as they've got their own hardware and software products created with their own philosophy... like I've said:
"The Mac is the Mercedes of microcomputers and the Lambourghini of laptops"
:p
...have any of you noticed the changes in operations speeds since the first X Beta version to today's 10.3.7..? - I'd like to see Micro$oft for once coming up with a new Windoze version that does not require more HD space, more RAM, more... etc. and has become faster..!
...for years, there have been rumours of Apple creating an OS to run on Intel systems - project "Star Trek" in the 90's was one... and now that NEXT OS has turned into Mac OS X... the day that Mac computers will eventually be able to run almost anything, isn't that far away...

oh... ok... :)
first:
you need the Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X - Download here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/software/macintosh/osx/default.aspx) (~7MB)
then, after installing the software and starting it, click on :
File - Open URL... or use the key combination: Command-U
paste in the address:
click OK or hit Enter & you should soon be seeing a very, very nice video on your screen... :]
