Do you get this error before Windows/your operating system loads?

after windows is started but now i have another problem
echa 30 - 40 minutes i become the message that i have to close all my open programs, the PC is starting new in 60 seconds - if i remember wasnt ther a worm last year that made this (Sober/Sasser) ?? - thanks for help
Does starting in safe mode and doing a virus scan there help?

i didnt make a start in safe mode yet but at the moment there running two virus scans
Sasser removal tool:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=76c6de7e-1b6b-4fc3-90d4-9fa42d14cc17&displaylang=en
... but is it sasser? Perhaps it would be best to close the comp, use another comp to google the exact error message, then print out the removal instructions and or download the removal tool to a diskette or cd.
As there isn't a whole lot you can do in that limited time. And it would be best if an infected machine wouldn't be online.
That NewDotNet seems to be a parasite, and that error message comes after using the spyware removal programs.
More about sasser, this page also has the error message screencap

Maybe something you downloaded/installed?
Read about that newdot, when I quickly searched about it it seemed to be related to some software installations etc, and that might have opened up your computer to viruses etc.

Beware that NewDotNet
Microsoft article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302463
PC Hell http://www.pchell.com/support/savenow.shtml
Spy Bot Net http://www.spy-bot.net/NewDotNet.asp
Last time I removed that totally it broke Winsock DNS settings, so I need to get Winsock repair program from other computer, If winsock is broken Net or Lan wont work.
