I loved Take Me Out (great having 2 songs in 1) and Matinee, haven't bought the album yet, but I'm sure I will at some point.

Matty, you have a bit of a problem recognizing the fads and talent. Franz Ferdinand have talent, and originality; or at least more than most mainstream popular bands out there at the moment. It's bands like Maroon 5 that are the problem. Franz reminds me of no other band out there at the moment. Who are they following?

I love Franz Ferdinland. Very original and different. Don't have their CD yet, but planning to get it very soon. The other day I was rocking out to "Take Me Out". :funny:

I'm not that much into them, but they've got some clever riffs (and the name's clever too..! :funny: ), and the songs roll on naturally - a whole lot better (I agree Caleb) than Maroon 5... - now there's a group, whose singer's voice really makes me cringe... :nervous:

I never said they didnt have talent. Do i have to like a band that has talent?
And i never said they followed anyone, i said that bands are following them, the bands that are following them are the fad.
I dont know what your music TV is like but over here when something is the "big thing" its all thats played, its all thats advertised and MTV do a damn good job of sucking up to these bands and put them everywhere.
The reason i dont like them is because i find them very wishy washy and very bland, they do nothing to hold my interest.
On a slightly different topic, this is the same thing that happened with the darkness, now they arent eveywhere people have lost interest and quite alot of people dont like them anymore. Now this time last year alot of people where saying they're the next big thing and they dont sound like anyone who is around at the mo......
I wonder if Franz will suffer the same fate?

I never did like The Darkness. And yes, they play popular "big things" here incessantly, but I don't watch music TV nor listen to mainstream radio much, so it doesn't bother me. I think Franz has potential, possibly.
